1.0 Introduction Cathodic Protection Co Limited, founded in 1950, was one of the first companies in the United Kingdom set up specifically to provide equipment and engineering services for the cathodic protection of pipelines, storage tanks, well casings, and marine structures for the oil, gas, petrochemical, water and power industries. In the 1970s the company also developed its Cuprion range of marine anti-fouling systems, installed in marine pumps and seawater intakes worldwide.

Engineering Services Site services are provided for the supervision of installation works, commissioning and maintenance of both sacrificial and impressed current cathodic protection systems on a worldwide basis. Site surveys carried out for soil resistivity, current drain, ground bed location, CIPS, DCVG, AC corrosion monitoring, mitigation and routine monitoring.
Anti-Fouling Systems Our Anti Fouling Department is responsible for the design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of Cuprion® automatic anti-fouling systems. Using client requirements such as water flow rate, duty cycle, pump maintenance interval and intake geometry, each Cuprion® system is custom designed to provide full anti fouling protection between scheduled pump overhauls.
Consultation Our engineers are available for discussion and advice on all aspects of cathodic protection and corrosion control activities. These services are supported by design and engineering capabilities to carry proposals through to fruition.
Training Our Corrosion Engineers are also available to train client’s personnel on cathodic protection and corrosion topics in the United Kingdom or overseas.

5.0 Health, Safety and the Environment HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT This Policy Statement is issued in accordance with Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Section 2 (3). It is the policy of Cathodic Protection Co Limited to:
o Promote the occupational health and safety of all its employees. o Comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the
relevant safety legislation.
Policy Objectives In pursuance of this policy the Company acknowledges its responsibility, so far as is reasonably practical, to minimise:-
a) The risk to health and safety of the Company employees, to
hazards to which they are exposed whilst they are at work; and b) The risks to the health and safety of persons not in the
employment of the Company arising out of or in conjunction with the conduct by those persons or their undertaking.
o Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions taking into
account any statutory requirements.
o Ensure the design, manufacture and instructions to users of Company equipment and products result in safe operation and handling.
o Provide such information, instruction and training as is necessary to enable
employees at all levels to perform their work safely.
o Maintain constant and continuing interest in health and safety matters applicable to the Company's activities, in particular by consulting and involving employees of their representatives wherever possible.
o Make available and supervise the use of all necessary safety devices and
protective equipment.

HEALTH & SAFETY PROCEDURES
As part of our OHSAS18001:2007 accreditation Cathodic Protection Co Ltd operate Health & Safety Management Procedures (HSMP’s) which are a fundamental part of the Company’s Integrated Management System and are used in conjunction with:
o The requirements of relevant Health & Safety legislation o Integrated Management System Procedures o Suppliers Instructions and Data Sheets o Manufacturers Manuals etc. o Clients Health and Safety Policies, Procedures, Method Statements etc.
They are set to ensure the Company’s compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and subordinate regulation and codes of practice. They provide safe systems of work for Cathodic Protection Co Ltd employees. The Health & Safety Management Procedures are supported by appropriate training, instruction and information, including signage, to minimise workplace risk as far as is reasonably practicable. All employees are encouraged to contribute in developing these procedures in order to improve the health and safety of themselves, fellow employees, visitors and contractors.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Cathodic Protection Co Limited recognises the importance of Environmental Protection and will comply with the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and all subordinate environmental legislation, relating to the Company’s processes and activities. It is a Company objective to ensure the co-operation with the maintenance of good

relations with all regulatory authorities and bodies. The Company will endeavour to act as a responsible neighbour in all the communities in which it operates.
It will be the policy of the Company to carry out all measures reasonably practicable to meet, exceed or develop all necessary requirements to improve environmental performance. The policy will be enacted through integration into the Company’s normal management systems, giving it equal priority with all other aspects of the business management. The aims will be to, wherever possible:
o Assess the environmental effects of the Company’s activities and introduce appropriate control measures, or as appropriate, alternative materials or processes to minimise the negative impact on the environment from its operations
o Control and reduce the amount of waste produced and wherever practicable recycle waste product.
o Reduce the consumption of raw materials, water and fuels.
o To establish relationships with environmentally responsible suppliers/sub-contractors and demonstrate concern for the environment in all its purchasing activities.
o Increase the use of recyclable and renewable materials.
o Limit noise within and around the site

The Company will as necessary develop the environmental awareness and understanding of its employees. Where practicable, the Company will provide information and assistance to customers on environmental issues arising from its products and services.

audits into raw materials and all facets of the Company's manufacturing activities. o Reporting functions for this Department are directly to the Managing Director.

8.0 Key Personnel & Personnel Resource DIRECTOR Rob Holden, Managing Director, (BSc (Hons) Degree in Engineering and Master’s Degree in Business Administration). Rob has over 30 years’ business management experience including 10 years at senior manager/director level in a FTSE 100 engineering company. He has extensive international experience and has spent most of his career working in the fields of Operations Management, Quality Management and Business Improvement. He is responsible for the strategic leadership of CPCL and ensuring that company resources are established, maintained, and directed to ensure that our corporate goal of complete customer satisfaction is consistently achieved. MANAGEMENT TEAM Dr Dan Marshall, Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer, (BSc, PhD, M.I.Corr) has over 17 years’ experience in the corrosion industry. Dan obtained a PhD in Corrosion Science from The Corrosion and Protection Centre, UMIST UK, in 2000, is a Member of The Institute of Corrosion and is certified as a Senior Corrosion technologist by NACE (certificate number 10078). He is the Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer in the Project Department covering the design of CP systems, submission of technical and commercial quotations, project management and overseeing the project department. Dan has worked on numerous CP projects in Africa (North and Sub-Saharan), Middle East, Far East and Europe and joined CPCL in October 2006. Dr Kevin Kendell, Middle East Technical Sales Manager, has a background in Applied Chemistry, PhD in Corrosion Remediation and has in excess of 30 years’ experience in the corrosion industry especially corrosion control of concrete structures. Kevin is an active member of NACE & I.Corr and has written many technical papers. A highly respected engineer throughout the Middle East, he is an expert in cathodic protection systems for reinforced concrete structures & industrial plants including surveys, design, commissioning & operation. Ed Sparks, Project Sales Manager, obtained a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Loughborough University in 2005 and has gained wide experience in the CP industry in technical sales over 11 years. Ed is responsible for major project sales and marketing, focusing on securing major contracts and managing key accounts. Over the years he has developed an extensive knowledge of CP applications and the wider industry. Chris Martin, Field Operations Manager, has worked in the CP industry for over 11 years and is responsible for a team of Engineers and Technicians involved in the Installation, Operation and Maintenance of CP systems worldwide. He is well informed in modern CP design techniques, the application of computer aided fault finding and survey techniques, (CIPS, DCVG, ACVG) and electronic management of monitoring and maintenance data. He has also a broad knowledge of most CP applications including, Pipelines, Jetties, Offshore Structures, Tank Farms, Refineries, and Process Plants with working experience in the UK, Middle East, North Africa, Europe and South America.

Marcus Hardy, Technical Manager, has been with CPCL for 6 years, initially in the role of Production Manager, moving to Technical Manager in 2011. Marcus is responsible for engineering the company’s products to maintain the quality and performance standards our customers require, he is also responsible for the CAD team, and is management representative for the company’s ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO18001 management systems. Stuart Martin, Sales Manager, has worked in the CP industry in excess of 11 years. He is the key contact with American Innovations, responsible for sales in the region. Stuart also technically supports PCS Software and Allegro applications in the European and the Middle East, and supports our Dubai office operations with the Project Management of projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia CP ENGINEERING Simon Filmore, Senior Project Engineer, has an electrical background with over 22 years’ experience in the cathodic protection industry. Simon has experience in sacrificial and impressed current cathodic protection systems including design, site surveys, installation, commissioning, monitoring and maintenance. He is trained to Level 2 Cathodic Protection Technician, I.Corr approved and is also a trained First Aider. He has field experience in the UK, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Gibraltar. Alessandro Bonetti, Cathodic Protection Engineer, (BSc, MSc) has over 5 years’ experience in the corrosion industry. He has an MSc in Materials Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and is certified Level 2 in CP for metallic structures in sea water and buried metallic structures. He works in the Project Department covering the design of CP systems, technical and commercial quotations and site activities. He has worked extensively around the world, both on and offshore, including Italy, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Matthew Emery, Cathodic Protection Engineer, obtained an MSc in Mathematics & Physics at Bath University. Working in the projects department, Matt’s responsibilities include concept design, technical documentation, site activities and CP modelling using the BEASY software package, with which he is an expert having worked with BEASY for 3 years. Dr Eric Liu, Cathodic Protection Engineer, with a BSc in Chemistry and a Doctorate in Nano Chemistry, has worked for CPCL for over 8 years. Based in our Middle East office, he specialises in ICCP design and sacrificial anode systems in concrete structures and has been heavily involved in such major projects as Ras Laffan in Qatar and Zirku Island, UAE. Dan McCarthy, Project Engineer, has been with CPCL for 8 years in a variety of roles, Currently part of the CP Projects department, Dan has experience in design, conducting site surveys, installation supervision and commissioning activities for both sacrificial and impressed current systems. He is I.Corr Level 1 certified in concrete applications and is also currently applying for certification in marine applications.

ANTI FOULING Matthew Lamb, Anti-Fouling Product Manager, (BEng (Hons) Degree in Manufacturing Engineering) has over 28 years’ experience in industry. Previously working in the pump industry, Matthew has over 11 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of marine anti-fouling systems. Matthew ensures that all of our anti-fouling systems are designed, engineered and manufactured according to client specifications. TRANSFORMER RECTIFIERS Jordan Hemming, Software Engineer, obtained a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Manchester University. He has over 5 years’ experience in the development of Remote Control and Monitoring Systems for the Cathodic Protection industry, and joined CPCL in March, 2014. Rob Mason, TR Applications Engineer, has an ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and has been with CPCL for over 5 years. He started work building and testing the TR units and has now moved on to designing the range. As with most engineers in the company, Rob has travelled extensively to sites around the world. Martin Spriggs, TR Applications Engineer, has been with CPCL for over 6 years, during which time he has built, tested and now designs the company's range of transformer rectifiers. He has also extensive experience of site work and installations around the globe. Arriving at CPCL with an ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Martin is now working towards his HNC. FIELD SERVICES Paul Williams, Project Engineer, has 30 years’ experience in cathodic protection systems both in the UK and abroad. Paul is familiar with most aspects of cathodic protection including survey, design and supply, installation and maintenance of onshore and offshore applications. He has extensive experience in the supervision of drilling companies and crews for deep well ground bed application, resistivity surveys and Close Interval Potential Surveys. Also has a working knowledge of marine anti-fouling systems and internal corrosion monitoring and inhibitors. Ivan Preston, Senior CP Technician, has a vast amount of experience in the CP industry, and has been with the company for over 20 years. During this time he has developed an unrivalled knowledge of CP techniques in the field, and has worked throughout the world in a supervisory capacity on a variety of high profile projects. Roberto Galindo, Senior CP Technician, is a highly experienced engineer and CP surveyor with over 18 years’ experience, MSc in civil engineering and is ICorr Level 2, working on a wide range of major projects in Europe, Middle East, Asia, North Africa, South America and Turkey. In 2009 he was appointed CPCL's Libya Branch Technical Manager, involving the completion of tenders and quotations as well as the day to day liaison with clients. Chris Pimm, Survey Supervisor, has worked for CPCL for 8 years, specialising in the supervision of CIPS and DCVG combined surveys. During which time he has been involved with large clients such as Southern Gas Networks, Scotia Gas Networks, National Grid and Wales & West Utilities, and has

worked around the globe from Madagascar to the Falkland Islands. Chris has undertaken considerable specialist training, and is qualified at ICorr CP Level 1. Jason Greatorex, CP Technician, has a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is registered ICorr CP Level 1. He has worked as part of the Field Services team since 2011, and has gained valuable experience in the assembly and installation of cathodic protection equipment in on-site locations, including anti fouling systems. as well as site surveying. Motaz Abbas, CP Technician, is based in Jordan and gives more depth to CPCL's Middle East operations. With a BSc in Chemical Engineering and NACE CP Level 2, Motaz brings a high level of technical and practical knowledge to the company, and has worked on major global projects, including Saudi Arabia, Libya and Azerbaijan. Tom Pain, Technical Services Co-ordinator, has been with CPCL for 4 years since leaving Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc in Geography. His role is to plan, execute, and track the technical requirements for the service technicians, working closely with the Field Services Manager.

12.0 Recent Projects
Tangier – Tangier Mediterranean Port Project
In the largest RMCS project undertaken by CPCL to date, 28 large multi-channel TRs have been supplied for the Tangier Port Project which by the mid 2015 had clocked up 7 million channel running hours. CPCL has worked closely with the main contractor in the project since 2007 to create a world-class port facility and major trading hub on the northern shores of Morocco. The commissioning team sent to Tangiers energised the last TR in December 2014 and so far 964 TR channels are clocking up over 160,000 channel operating hours a week.
Intecsa Polyoxymethylene (POM) Project, Saudi Arabia
In a deal worth over $1 million, CPCL has been awarded
the contract to provide Steel in Concrete CP for the
cooling tower and conventional CP for storage tanks as
part of the Polyoxymethylene (POM) Project at Al-
Jubail in Saudi Arabia. The contract was awarded by
Intecsa on behalf of clients SABIC and Celanese, with all
design and materials to SABIC specification. CPCL’s
TRUst Transformer Rectifiers are being used to provide
99 DC outputs.
ADMA-OPCO – Umm Lulu Full Field Development Project Package 2
Cathodic Protection Co Ltd. has been contracted to supply its Cuprion® marine anti-fouling system for 6 seawater
lift pumps on the Umm Lulu Super Complex, in the United Arab Emirates. The project, worth over £300,000, will
see the Cuprion® anti-fouling electrodes, supplied with Super Duplex Stainless Steel intake strainers, fitted inside
the pump caisson, and are designed to be removable whilst the pump is in-situ.
