in the health sector, inadequate access to essential medicines and other

healthcare commodities is a key limitation that impacts on people’s health in

Kenya. Adequate access to medicines is dependent on both the affordability

and quality of the products. Unaffordable medicines are clearly not the solution

but, equally, affordable low-quality products are not the answer either.

ABOUT US

Nextgen Pharmaceuticals (K) Ltd. was incorporated as a Private Limited

Company in Kenya as per the Companies Act of Kenya (CAP. 486).

Nextgen Pharmaceuticals (K) Ltd. is committed to offer high quality and

affordable medicines, medical equipment and other healthcare products to

ensure that all Kenyans and the people of this region gain access to quality

healthcare at an affordable cost. We aim to achieve this through collaboration

with renowned pharmaceutical companies across the globe. We have partnered

with some reputed manufacturers and registering the products at Pharmacy and

Poisons Board. The company started its business operation in January 2017 &

commercialize the products from April 2017.

At present, Nextgen Pharmaceuticals is offering products of different dosage

forms like oral solids (Tablets & Hard Gelatin Capsules), effervescent tablets,

liquids (Syrup, Suspension & Powder for suspension), creams & ointments,

parenteral preparations (Vials & Ampoules). We are also working to introduce

specialized dosage forms like suppository, ophthalmic drops and creams, pre-

filled syringes, liquid-filled hard gelatin capsules, lyophilized injections etc.

Nextgen Pharmaceuticals is a marketing-oriented company, having a well-

trained and experienced marketing & sales team based in all the major towns.

We cover almost all the major towns of Kenya and make one-to-one sales calls

to our customers (Doctors, Clinicians & Pharmacists) and promote our brands

for prescription generation.

We have an established distribution network throughout the country. We have

our own distribution vehicles to distribute goods in and around Nairobi. We also

work with reputed distribution companies like G4S and Fargo courier to deliver

orders to our customers within 24 hours in all the major cities of Kenya.

Our Management team consists of highly-qualified and high-performing

professionals with rich experience in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in

other business fields. These individuals bring in passion and exceptional

expertise to determine the focus and strategic direction of our company.

Managing Director

Mr. Ehsanul Chowdhury, holder of Masters and Ph.D. degree in Civil

Engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan. He taught in Japanese

and Canadian Universities, worked as a Professional Engineer in Japan, Canada

and United States over 18 years.

He is passionate about mathematical modeling and software development and

was involved in some large-scale Engineering software development projects.

He has been involved in construction, software development and trading

business over ten years. His diverse skills bring great value to our organization.

Executive Director

Mr. Salauddin Yousuf Khan, holder of Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the

Khulna University, Bangladesh and having over 12 years of experience in the

pharmaceutical industries. He has worked for the leading Bangladeshi

pharmaceutical companies in various positions including Trainer of sales team,

International Business Executive and Country Manager. The vast work

experience of Mr. Khan in international business specially in the east African

markets is a strong asset which gives Nextgen a competitive edge.

Superintendent Pharmacist

Dr. Samuel Kinuthia Bubi, holder of Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the

University of Nairobi, Kenya and professional practice license from Pharmacy

and Poisons Board. Dr. Kinuthia is having over 08 years of experience in the

pharmaceutical field including hospital pharmacist and dispensing pharmacist

with reputed organizations.

OUR SERVICES

Regulatory services

We provide technical & advisory services regarding GMP inspection & approval

of factory, product analysis, product registration and work as Local Technical

Representative for the manufacturers who are willing to register, export &

market their products in Kenya.

Importation

We are approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) to import various

pharmaceutical products, medical devices & medical consumables. We facilitate

importation of commercial products, samples and promotional materials in

Kenya.

Marketing

We conduct market research, launching of products and promotional activities,

arrange clinical meetings, special promotional campaigns etc. We also provide

back office support for the Principles like recruitment and training of Medical

Representatives, managing team of Medical Representatives, reporting the sales

and stock of products, analyzing market-wise sales performance etc. through

our ERP system.

Sales & Distribution

We hold a valid whole sale dealer’s license which enables us to sell & distribute

pharmaceutical products throughout the country using our extensive client

networks. We have a well-designed warehouse to facilitate the storage of

imported goods and we follow the Good Distribution Practice as per cGMP. Our

warehouse ensures quality of the product by monitoring the storage

temperature and humidity.

We also have a well-defined system to handle product complain and product

recall if required.
