1986:M.A.N. merges with GHH, renamed MAN AG, based in Munich, Germany; individual business areas restructured by industry as public limited companies.

2019:The MAN Group is one of Europe’s leading players in the commercial vehicle industry. MAN is a supplier of trucks, buses, and vans with a focus on innovative transportation solutions. The MAN Group generated sales revenue of €12.1 billion in 2018. The MAN SE has been part of the Volkswagen Group since November 2011 and part of the TRATON GROUP since 2015.

MAN SE’s Power Engineering business area, which comprises Renk AG and MAN Energy Solutions SE, was sold to a Group company of Volkswagen AG on December 31, 2018.

The Power Engineering business area has not been part of the MAN Group since January 2019.

The MAN Group comprises two divisions: MAN Truck & Bus and MAN Latin America.
