Power Grid Civils Ltd was set up in 2012, since then we have dedicated our time to building Power Grid into the specialist company it is today. Working throughout the UK and Ireland we are well placed to serve our client’s needs.

Working from remote locations to busy city centres we constantly deliver high quality specialist projects while dealing with variable ground conditions & circumstances . At Power Grid Civils Ltd, we aim to deliver projects to budget, on time, defect free and at all times to the highest levels of quality and workmanship.

Power Grid Civils Ltd are widely experienced in general’s civils, setting out, excavating, steel fixing and pouring complex foundations. As well as installing all types of new build foundations including pad and column, driven piles, specials, we also specialise in investigatory works of existing lines and the refurbishment of Transmission Tower Foundations up to 400kV.

At all times, we work in partnership with our clients to ensure the highest levels of Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality standards for each project. We are currently Achilles & Constructionline accredited and have obtained certification in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007.

Power Grid Civils Ltd have all our own plant & personnel to undertake any task, we can call upon in house the technical expertise of our experienced senior management team. All our Supervisors & Operatives are fully skilled with up to date CSR cards & training and authorisations. Our Foremen have all 20 years’ industry experience while all Operatives have a minimum of 10 years’ experience.

Works:Upgrading and modernisation of an existing live 275kV Line Tower Bases between Kilmarnock and Coylton, Scotland.

Works involved the careful break out & excavation of each existing tower leg base foundation. This then enabled shuttering, reinforcement & concreting works to take place in order to form the new pile cap & muff for each tower leg.

One tower leg was 100% completed before mobilisation to the next leg as not to disturb/weaken the existing tower.
