ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Early care and learning professionals, school age and family child care providers, early childhood educators, and

students will be attending the 23rd annual Children the Heart of the Matter Conference. This conference offers a series

of speakers, workshops, and information sessions about early childhood development. The Children the Heart of the

Matter Conference will be held at the Bell Performing Arts Centre in Surrey, BC, on January 31 and February 1, 2020.

Friday, January 31st, we will host a keynote address by Janet Lansbury; best-selling author of Elevating Child Care: A

Guide to Respectful Parenting and No Bad Kids: Toddler Discipline Without Shame, podcaster, teacher, and parent.

Saturday, February 1st, will feature a keynote address by Lisa Murphy; five-time author, international speaker, and early

childhood specialist. The conference also hosts a variety of workshops with a focus on the early care and learning

field. We anticipate approximately 600 participants this year!

SUBMISSION AND SELECTION

All submissions will be considered based on the criteria of appropriateness and uniqueness of services and/or goods.

Successful submissions will receive one 8-foot table with two chairs. Multiple tables can be requested, however due

to space limitations we may limit the number of tables. Lunches and morning snacks on Saturday can be purchased

for $30 per person (please indicate on your application form). A door prize donation with a minimum value of $30 is

required.

We must receive your submission by October 16, 2019 to be considered. If your application is selected, you will receive

a confirmation letter with further details by November 15, 2019.
