Writing

1. Create your own paper airplane (or use a design that you have made before).

2. Now, write the procedure for making it, using sentence beginnings such as ‘First, next, after that, now, finally’.

3. Ask a family member to follow your procedure to make the plane themselves. Don’t give them any verbal prompts – they must follow the procedure as you have written it.

4. Compare the plane they have created to the one you made. 5. Discuss why it may or may not have turned out correctly. 6. Make adjustments (edit) your procedure so that it will work better next

time. 7. Try it out on another family member, or send your procedure to your

Family Bike Ride

As a family (with an adult) go for a bike

ride/scooter around your local area or even head North to Peregian or South to Marcoola.

Don’t forget to follow the bike safety rules!

Crab Soccer

This game can be played indoors or out. You will need four markers for goals and a soft ball or a

balloon.

Players must stay in a crab like posture and use their feet to kick the ball into the goal. This game

can include two or more players.

Classic Catches Set two markers 2m apart. Catcher stands

between the markers and the thrower must Underarm throw the ball between the markers.

The catcher may have to move to the side to catch it. Begin using two hands and maybe

challenge yourself and use one hand.

PE with Joe

Sock Ball!

Roll up a pair of socks into a ball. Lie down on your back and throw the socks up in the air to see how many you can catch. Start with small throws and get bigger as you get better.
