What is EOPS/NextUp? NextUp program, formerly known as CAFYES (Cooperating Agencies for Foster Youth Educational Support), is a supplemental component of the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services Program (EOPS). Our goal is to strengthen higher education success, health, and well-being of the students.

What do we offer? The NextUp program provides “over and above” comprehensive supplemental services to current and former foster youth enrolled at West Los Angeles College. We are committed to support our students every step of the way. Stop by our office in SSB 330 to meet our friendly staff. Who is eligible?

• Be a current or former foster youth whose dependency was established after the youth’s 16th birthday

• 25 years old or younger • Be enrolled in at least 9 units • Be eligible for the EOPS Program
