I-680 CORRIDOR BACKGROUND
I-680 from US 101 to Alameda County was constructed in 1970’s.
No significant upgrades since original construction.
Congestion and operational issues have increased over many years.

AM Northbound between Capitol and Alum Rock
PM Southbound between Berryessa and McKee

AM Northbound less than 35 mph between 101 and Berryessa Rd.
PM Southbound less than 35 mph between Jacklin and McKee Rd.

September: Obtain Public Input and Finalize Potential Improvement List
October: Evaluate and Rank Potential Improvements and Prepare Draft Corridor Study
November/December: Review of Draft Corridor Study by Caltrans, Cities and County
January/February 2016: Final Corridor Study
