Shloimi sat, feeling miserable, during the break in the fahair at Yeshiva Gedola. Why couldnt he discuss the Gemara he was learning! It was like being bottled up to bursting and then the bubbles going flat, stuck, never frothing out of a bottle. He couldnt get the answers out. Couldnt express himself, certainly not in Gemara.

Chavi felt her eyes prick with tears. Nauseous, she tried to sip a bit of water as she studied for the finals. It wasnt helping. Every time she went over material for the tests she felt SICK! The old story never stopped playing. She studied for HOURS with friends, and on her own. When the test was over she could hardly wait to run out of the room and vomit in the bathroom. The results were the same each time a low score.

Test anxiety strikes at the heart of a persons psyche. They study they prepare and then they freeze. They KNOW the material but cannot face a piece of blank paper or list of questions. Some even suffer panic attacks.

Test Anxiety is a form of performance anxiety and in many cases totally normal. A little bit of nervous butterfly-in-the-stomach tension is even healthy. It can increase the anticipation one feels when being called upon to perform. But is it disruptive? Is test anxiety

undermining your student, your child?

My program is designed to change the landscape of studying and test taking. Operating from each individuals personal strengths I inspire them through deep relaxation and in a resource state of profound learning to rely on their own unique ability to absorb and remember information.

I teach relaxation and visualization techniques. These can be applied to both the studying and then the test taking itself. The relaxation and visualization techniques can be used at any time and in any location.

Prohibited Chometz after Pesach

The prohibition of eating chometz on Pesach is unique in its transitory status. For 346 days of the Hebrew calendar, we are permitted to consume chometz; conversely on the eight days of Pesach, not even a morsel of chometz is permitted in Jewish households. Upon the conclusion of Pesach, the prohibition of owning chometz is lifted. However, if chometz was owned by a Jew on Pesach, knowingly or unknowingly, it falls into the category of Chometz Sheavar Alav HaPesach Prohibited Chometz after Pesach which may not ever be consumed or derived benefit from. A Jew who sells his chometz prior to Pesach avoids this prohibition because his chometz was in possession of a gentile during the course of the Holiday. Unfortunately, however, there are Jews who do not sell or dispose of their chometzprior to Pesach. This can be a relevant concern when shopping for food after Pesach.

All COR certified manufacturers, foodservice establishments and retailers who are Jewish sell their chometz before Pesach. Consequently, all products that are manufactured, produced or sold at these facilities may be purchased after Pesach.Additionally, COR works hard to identify and subsequently facilitate the sale of chometz of many Jewish-owned wholesalers and distributors that serve as middlemen to supply packaged kosher products to supermarkets and kosher food establishments in the GTA. This task requires much time and effort and CORs Rabbonim work tirelessly to resolve these concerns to the best of their ability.

Our research did not turn up any major supermarkets in the Greater Toronto Area that are owned or franchised by a Jew or Jewish interest. One should be sure to inquire as to whether smaller retail and drug stores are Jewish owned before purchasingchometz.

It is noteworthy to mention that not all types of chometz owned by a Jewish person on Pesach become prohibited after the Holiday. Some exceptions include medications and vitamins, non-chometz items that were cooked in chometz pots and items which contain vinegar whose source is unknown, such as ketchup, pickles, mayonnaise and mustard. In this case, we do not have to assume that the vinegar is derived from chometz.
