What is Community Involvement?
• Community Involvement is about giving you the
opportunity to have a say in the way that we provide
your services
• It offers you the chance to influence decisions that
affect your home, community and the housing service
that you receive
• Getting involved can take as little or as much time as
you wish to give
Benefits to tenants
• Gives tenants a voice to influence decisions, which may affect them or the community where they live
• Tenants have a greater understanding of how the organisation operates
• Improves relationships between tenants and the organisation
• Helps us to improve services
• Activities help develop community spirit and can help reduce vandalism, crime and anti social behaviour
• Tenants get involved in planning works on schemes/estates, improving the environment where they live

We can assist with:
• Payments to cover any reasonable travel costs incurred and assistance in arranging transport through our Tenants Expenses Policy
• Payments towards childcare to enable you to attend meetings
• Arranging for documents to be translated into different languages, large print, Braille or audio
• Ensure communication methods are effective – for example, arranging for an interpreter to attend a meeting

Your Impact
• We produce an annual impact assessment
document each year to show you how you
have made an impact on services and your
