COMMUNIT YI M P A C T
A W O R D F R O M O U R C E O
Our associates went above and beyond in 2018! Not only did we see strong financial performance last year, but our employees continue to give back to our communities with incredible dedication. As you’ll see in this report, IMA has given time, talent and treasure to nonprofit partners throughout IMA’s footprint. Our community partnerships have a clear impact on our business, especially as it relates to talent and client satisfaction. It’s amazing to be able to do the right thing for all the right reasons and see the business benefit. Companies must do well to do good!
Through the IMA Foundation and the local partnerships created in each of IMA’s markets, we proudly support the growth and staying power of the communities we serve. Our business would not thrive without it.
Thanks for making a difference!

The founders of IMA showed true vision decades ago when they started the IMA Foundation to support IMA’s hometown of Wichita. As IMA has grown geographically, including more than 700 employees, the IMA Foundation continues to carry on the legacy of its founders by supporting nonprofit organizations that better the communities where IMA associates live, work, learn and play. Today the IMA Foundation focuses on supporting organizations in advancing youth, education and arts and culture in the communities where IMA operates.

Through the passion of our associates, dozens of nonprofits benefited from twice the financial support through matched donations. Our nonprofit partners are always incredible stewards of these resources to impact our communities. Our associates continue to live IMA’s mission to protect assets and make a difference.
IMA expanded associate volunteer committees to all offices to further organic employee engagement. These teams of associates, known as our Community Action Committees, identify unique volunteer opportunities for their colleagues throughout the year. Through IMA’s life-balance program, associates continue to have the opportunity to volunteer during work hours.

TOGETHER.
APRIL 5, 2018IMA’s mission to make substantial change in the cities it supports was on display during I Make a Difference Day when nine communities came together on the same day to make lasting improvements. Associates rolled up their sleeves and flew the IMA flag to show that corporate responsibility is everyone’s responsibility.
IMA employees, families and friends donated approximately 1,500 hours across the country. It was the annual event’s largest showing. Most importantly, IMA showed kids we care, beautified cultural icons and supported the disadvantaged.

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
The IMA Foundation partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters in its four largest markets in 2018. These organic partnerships stemmed from passionate IMA associates in Dallas, Denver, Kansas City and Wichita.
IMA sponsored a clay shoot in Dallas, made Big Brothers Big Sisters the beneficiaries of IMA Foundation events in Wichita and Kansas City, and received grant funding in Denver. Recognizing these valuable partnerships and the interests of associates, IMA pursued a broader partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
IMA leadership from each of these four communities agreed that these partnerships are strong enough that we want to formalize them across these markets. As a result, the IMA Foundation Board of Directors and IMA presidents from these four areas committed to be a Regional Partner of Big Brothers Big Sisters. This partnership includes financial and volunteer support in Colorado, Kansas and Texas. Thank you to Big Brothers Big Sisters for leading the charge on this incredible partnership.

Nearly 150 people attended IMA Kansas City’s inaugural IMA Foundation fundraising event, Pickleball at Chicken N’ Pickle.
Participants ranged from first-time pickleball players to seasoned veterans. Pickleball hosted several prospects, clients and comprised a few notable Kansas City VIPs, including Chiefs’ mascot, KC Wolf.
When the dust settled, it was a successful event raising more than $30,000 for the Kansas City community. On hand were members of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City to receive a check as part of IMA Foundation’s effort to give back to the community helping to grow and advance youth.

Sandblast Dallas saw its biggest turnout yet! Nearly $60,000 was raised for IMA’s oldest fundraiser. The event was a near sell-out with 250 guests working together to support North Texas nonprofits, including serving a generous check to Junior Achievement of Dallas.
Along with the committee, 40 associates took the day to volunteer, showing why IMA continues to be a leader in community service in the Dallas market.
In its third year, Sandblast Wichita set another high bar for the young but successful event.
Raising more than $40,000, the event centered around helping three Wichita-based charities: Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters, Fundamental Learning Center and Child Advocacy Center. The event’s difference makers spent the day at Wichita Sports Forum with 20 teams playing in the sand volleyball tournament.
Wichita is shaking things up in 2019 and hosting its first Pickle Jam pickleball tournament!
