SOUTHERN UTAH EDUCATION These events are for homeowner board and committee members to learn from a panel of experts on a wide variety of topics. This event is also provides community leaders the opportunity to visit with and learn about companies familiar with HOA's and what they can do to help.
LEGISLATIVE ACTION COMMITTEE
The Community Associations Institutes Legislative Action Committee is a group of volunteer individuals and companies interested in the governance and proper operation of Common Interest Developments (condominiums, HOAs, PUDs, Townhomes). As a committee of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) our volunteers work to insure that residents and owners in these communities have representation within the legislature through advocacy and creation of proactive legislation.
A few facts: Legislative Action Committees (LACs) exist to
represent the interests of, and to provide regular communications to the Community Associations Institute (CAI) members and chapters located within their boundaries with respect to state legislative, regulatory, and amicus curiae activities of relevance to the creation and operation of community associations.
LAC is a non-profit, nonpartisan committee. CAI Represents the interests of over 350,000
homeowners in more than 2,550 associations throughout Utah.
Utah LAC delegates are nominated by the Board of Utah CAI and by the Utah LAC. LAC delegates volunteer their time and energy.
The LAC is comprised of association homeowners, directors, managers, insurance professionals, vendors, attorneys, and other professionals.
Is not a Political Action Committee (PAC), and makes no financial contributions.
The LAC depends solely on the donations of the community associations, owners, and the professionals who serve HOA members and Boards.
The Utah LAC supports the “Rights and Responsibilities” and “Community Association Governance Guidelines” of the Community Associations Institute.
To learn more about our organization and our committee please visit www.uccai.net. We welcome your feedback and inquiries.
