Communities in the United States come in all shapes and sizes. In the following two poems,

the people live in different communities, but they share MUCH in common.

Think about what we’ve read so far about communities on pages 6 through 9. What do you

predict these characters will have in common?

Describe what you see in the illustration on pages 10 -11 and the photo on page 13. What kinds of communities do you see?
