GOSPEL CONNECTION
PARISH SACRAMENTAL LIFE
Happy Trinity Sunday! In today's Gospel, we hear Jesus declare together
all three Persons of the Trinity. "Go therefore, and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and
of the Holy Spirit."
When we speak of the Trinity, two different theological words are some-
times used: immanent and economic. The immanent Trinity is the life of
the three Persons within themselves, the inner harmonious relationship
between Father, Son, and Spirit. We see this in the Gospels when Jesus
speaks of his Father and promises to send the Holy Spirit. The term
"economic" has its roots in the Greek word oikonomia, roughly meaning
"household management." The economic Trinity is our three-Personed
God's relationship with creation; it is creation and redemption and
ongoing relationship with us.
Made in the image and likeness of God, we are called to imitate God's
immanence by giving and receiving love with one another in community.
However, this is not limited only to those close to us, though that's where
love often starts. We also imitate the economy of God when we go out,
when we extend our love and care in a life-giving way. "Go therefore ?"
Every believer is sent on mission. Every believer is invited to follow Jesus
and the Apostles "to the nations," to the margins, to the people who
require a little extra reach. This could be a distant relative, the residents
of your local homeless shelter or even the forgotten neighbor next door!
When we love well, we create something beautiful-a relationship, a holy
moment, a foretaste of heaven. This Trinity Sunday, take some time to
examine the relationships in your life. How well do you love those nearest
to you? How well do you reach out to those farther away? How are you
creating something beautiful?

ADOPTION - CATHOLIC CHARITIES
Choosing adoption for your unborn child is a very
loving and mature decision. Even when you know it’s the right choice, support and guidance is helpful.
Catholic Charities provides confidential services at no cost, and they facilitate open, semi open, or
closed adoptions. You can find a loving home for your baby. Call Catholic Charities at 1.800.222.5859
SIDE TOWERS AT ST. ANN
A donor has made it possible to replace the louvers
on the two side towers at St. Ann Church so that they match the main central tower. The parish is grateful for this contribution. The new louvers are now being fabricated and will be installed soon.
How about a sky cam to share our beautiful sunsets! StAnnCam!
NEARING THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION AT ST. ANN
Attention Adorers: On Memorial Day, Monday,
May 28, the regular adoration scheduled will be closed and will resume on Tuesday, May 29. The chapel will be open on that Monday for anyone wishing to spend some quiet time in prayer.
The end of June brings the end of the fiscal year. I
wanted to give you a brief overview of where our parishes and cemeteries stand financially. It is very important that all parish weekly offerings make the
budgeted amount (envelopes and plate only).
St. Joseph Parish — We are having to withdraw from savings for general operations.
St. Joseph Cemetery — Operating fund and perpetual care fund are stable. Recently added crushed rock was donated.
All Saints Parish — Financially stable. For parish projects, it is essential to keep supporting Project
Restore through the Catholic Foundation. Funds come back to the parish. Your support has paid for the bell tower restoration and tuckpointing to begin late summer/fall.
Calvary Cemetery, New Richland — Operating fund less than $1,000. We are having to draw from parish funds to cover expenses. Perpetual Care Fund is
underfunded. It is essential to keep supporting. St. Aidan Cemetery, Bath — Fantastic shape. The
souls of the faithful departed are getting perpetual care!
St. Ann Cemetery — Operating fund and perpetual
care fund are stable. St. Ann Parish — Financially stable. For parish
projects it is essential to keep supporting the Catholic Ministry Appeal since all funds come back to the parish now that we have reached our goal. Project Renew 2018 is also off to good start. We
need to replace one of our church air conditioners. To support that please give to the CMA and the funds will come back to support the parish.
Thank you for all the time, talent, and treasure you
expend on behalf of our parishes. Many hands may
for light work and everyone can contribute some-
thing. Again, it is very important that the weekly
offerings make the budgeted amount each week.
Even if you are out of town, the parish needs your
support. I hope you appreciate this brief update.
I want all of us to understand where we are
financially.
