In June 2014, The Great Himalayan National Park was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Site.

BILASPUR- MANDI- LEH RAILWAYThe Bilaspur–Mandi–Leh railway is a proposed high-elevation

all-weather Indian Broad- Guage.

It will become the highest railway track(around 17000 ft. above sea level) in world, overtaking the current record of China’s Qinghai- Tibet railway (16500 ft above sea level).

The Total Expected Length Of Bilaspur-Mandi-Leh Railway is almost 500 km.

If this project is completed  the time taken to reach Leh from Delhi will be reduced to less than two days compared to about four days.
