The futuristic style of the logo tells us the album has trance elements. The logo is fairly big, as this is what will be the biggest selling point.

The background colour scheme uses different shades of green and a bit of white. The green is darker in the corners to makes it look as though there is a light being shone onto the album. This is conventional of the trance genre ,as trance music is

accosted with bright lights.

The lion image has connotations of aggression and danger common of the rock genre. This subtly gives us clue the album has rock elements to it.

The album name ‘common dreads’ is written in below in slightly smaller font to tell us what album it is. The font is interesting yet readable. ‘Common dreads’ makes the album sound like it will have deep themes throughout. This suggests it’s aimed as a fairly mature audience, so teenagers instead of children

The parental adviser tells as the album will have taboo language and/or themes some may find disturbing, so parents don’t expose their children to this. This wont decrease the audience by much as this album is aimed at teenagers.

The cartoon yet detailed visual of the main image and background suggests it is aimed at teenagers.

The thing I think this CD would benefit from would be a brief mention of the tracks which the artists and label think will best sell the album.
