6.1 Progress on New Club DevelopmentChris has circulated minutes from a meeting with council and draft plans for the new site. He raised issues with the draft plan such as the relationship of sport activities to non-sport activities as well as room size and incompatibility with our wish list.

Peter Kirkwood sent in aerial photographs of where the water courses run across the bowling greens and Chris voiced Peter’s concern about the flood prone issues and tabled an email between Hornsby Council and the architect, Stephen Johansson

Chris reported that Tender for the sale of the George St site ends on the 28th May. Chris said that he asked Hornsby Council who owned the tennis court land and they confirmed it was Council land.

A vote has been taken on which site the committee would prefer and the result was unanimous in favour of the bowling club site for reasons such as Noise complaints, lack of visibility, site access and size of land. Chris was asked to advise Chris Gardiner of the committee’s view6.2 Blue Light Junior Dance

Daniel reported that Blue Light disco is on Saturday 31st May, Tickets are $10 and starts at 5:30pm if anybody would like to volunteer.

Only 2 tickets have been pre sold but we have had booking for 9 other tickets.

6.3 Art Union Raffle

Chris reported that Art Union Tickets need to be brought back to the club today so they can be sent back to Sate office on Friday 30th May

6.4 Blue Star Program

We are looking for participants as soon as possible for the July Blue Star Camp but we might miss out again as the holidays are almost here.

Daniel reported that State Office are looking for people to volunteer at the Blue Star camp in July. Regina and Nick expressed interest and Daniel will forward their names.

Chris suggested that somebody should drop flyers of at the local Schools to raise awareness of the camp.

7. Fundraising and business support

Chris reported that Westpac have indicated they will be giving us $3000 for police programs in Term 3 which included a camp in Port Stephens.

Chris is applying to ClubsNSWf for funding for Boxing equipment for 2014 and will be applying for the Ku-ring-gai Council funding as well.

8.1 Case Management Officer Report

As already reported Westpac has funded a program for Term 3.

Lisa has returned from a month’s leave with the Army Reserve and Lynda is currently on Holiday until the 31st May.

8.2 Manager’s Report

Chris reported the club is going well at the moment being well ahead of budget. May will be a down month but that is budgeted. We have taken on Asquith Girls high for Bowls activity on a Monday afternoon. Hornsby Girls High are running a second Futsal activity on a Thursday afternoon.

8.3 Youth Report

Regina reported that Trivia night is shaping up well however we need to advertise more so any ideas are welcome.

Thomas Suggested that We need to contact activity heads about having a table at the trivia night.

Regina will be emailing people about providing bake goods for the Trivia Night. Any idea for games on the trivia night send them to Regina

Jennah suggested that all ex Blue Star participants write a short story about their experiences at blue star to help promote the program.

Thomas reported that we need people to go on Triple H Wednesdays 12pm for 15 minutes we can do this as sound bite or go into the building.

9. General Business. Chris reported that the Gala dinner and State Conference will be on the 15th June at Luna Park. We need names for who will be going. Leonie and Mike Davis , Nick and Finn family said they will be attending

Chris asked if everybody could advise us if they wish to attend by the 31st May.

The next Dural Bunnings BBQ will be on Sunday 14 th September and then at Thornleigh 21st September if anybody could let us know if you can help out.10. Date of Next Meeting & Closure

The next monthly meeting will be held on Thursday 26th June 2014
