sediment buildup, create more thorough mixing of incoming water with stored water, and reduce

extreme temperature differences throughout the tank. Water heaters with the Hydrojet® Total

Performance System don't have to work as hard or as often to maintain a maximum supply of

hot water at the desired temperature. They heat water faster and use less energy to do it.

Light Duty TTW® Power VentLight Duty TTW® Power Vent units are perfect for applications where installation flexibility is as important as meeting

hot water demands. Power vented for positive exhaust, these units can be vented horizontally and vertically up to

Light Duty Direct VentLight Duty Direct Vent models are the solution for airtight

installations. Utilizing a closed combustion and co-axial

concentric (pipe inside a pipe) direct venting system, they are

perfect for installations that lack sufficient air for combustion.

They require no electrical power yet still offer sidewall venting. For installation flexibility, venting options include a solid

telescoping extension that can accommodate up to eight feet vertically and eight feet horizontally and a flexible vent

kit that allows installations from 44” to 100” in total length. Light Duty High Input Direct Vent models are also available

in Ultra Low NOx Eco-Defender Safety System® versions.

an outside wall for ventilation is not readily accessible. All models can vent vertically or horizontally and are also

approved for unbalanced, direct-vent closed combustion applications. Unbalanced venting means the air intake

Dielectric Waterway Fittings – Plastic-lined, galvanized steel fittings slow downthe process of electrolysis to minimizecorrosion. The dielectric waterwayfittings increase the life expectancy ofthe tank by decreasing possible leaks.

Direct Spark Ignition – A type of electronicpilot ignition that uses a spark to ignitethe gas directly at the burner.

Piezo Igniter – An ignition system thatconsists of a small, spring-loadedhammer that hits a crystalline materialproducing a spark to ignite a gas fuelsource. It eliminates the need to openthe combustion chamber to light theburner. No external electricity isrequired.

Powered Anode Rod – A type of anoderod for large commercial water heaterswhere the risk of corrosion is high.Powered anode rods release a smallelectrical current to protect the tankfrom corrosion. Powered anode rodsdon't need to be removed andreplaced, as they don't corrode.

Powerful Blower Motor – Bradford White’sPower Vent and Power Direct Ventmodels feature a powerful blowermotor with higher torque for greaterresistance to outside winds and thepower to eliminate many problemswith difficult venting situations. It isquiet and runs cooler for a longeroperational life.

Protective Magnesium (also Aluminum)Anode Rod – A sacrificial rodcomposed of one or more metals thatprotects the tank from corrosion bydrawing the harmful electrolyticprocess away from the tank to the roditself. Magnesium and Aluminum arethe most widely used anode materialsand will satisfy the majority of waterchemistry situations.

Red Oxide Primer – A lead-free, oil-based,high-quality, rust-resistant primer idealfor use on metal surfaces. Thecorrosion-resistant pigment makes itan ideal choice to protect steel tanksfrom chemical fumes, excessive heat,humidity, rain, and wind.

Safety Door Interlock – Safety switchsecures access to the control boxdoor when 120 volt is applied to thesystem. Unable to open the door whenpower is on.

Sanitizing Capability – Allows for atemperature setting up to 180°F (82°C)for sanitizing applications.

Side Connections – Side connections allowfor greater installation flexibility and can beused to connect additional equipmentsuch as a dishwasher or washingmachine. When the water heater isequipped with a mixing valve, the sideconnections allow the water heater tosupply higher and lower temperaturegeneral purpose hot water simultaneously.

Single or Three Phase – Single-phaseelectric power refers to the distribution ofalternating current electric power using asystem in which all the voltages of thesupply vary in unison. In a three-phasesystem, the currents in each conductorreach their peak instantaneous valuessequentially, not simultaneously.

Snap-Lock Draft Diverter – Bradford Whiteis the originator of the Snap-Lock DraftDiverter. Unlike other manufacturers thatoffer a screw-in style, Bradford Whitewater heaters provide a snap-on style sono drilling or sheet metal screws areneeded. The Snap-Lock Draft Divertermakes installation faster and easier.

Stainless Steel Tank – Bradford White canmanufacture storage tanks from 304,304L, 316, or 316L stainless steel for avariety of applications.

Stainless Steel Tank and Heat Exchanger– Made from chromium molybdenum -titanium ferritic 444 stainless steel alloy.

Submerged Combustion Chamber (seealso Three Pass Flue System) – eFSeries® Ultra High Efficiency water heatersutilize a combustion chamber that issubmerged in the center of the tank tominimize radiant heat loss and maximizeefficiency.

Surface (SF) or Immersion (CF)Thermostats – Surface thermostats aremounted on the outside of the tank,sensing water temperature through thesteel tank. Immersion thermostats aresubmerged directly into the water.

T&P Relief Valve Installed – Relief valveinstalled at the factory protects againstexcessive temperature and pressure (T&P)buildup in the tank.

Temperature and Pressure Gauge – A combination gauge that provides bothtemperature and pressure readings in the tank.

Thermal Efficiency – Thermal efficiency is ameasure of the output energy divided bythe input energy in a system. It must bebetween 0% and 100%. A thermalefficiency of 100% would mean that allenergy put into a system comes out in ausable form.

Three Pass Heat Exchanger System –Bradford White’s eF Series® Ultra HighEfficiency water heaters employ a three-phase or pass flue-type heat exchanger.As the products of combustion passthrough each phase of the flue tube,heat is efficiently transferred to thesurrounding water.

UL Listed – Underwriters Laboratories (UL)is an independent product safety testingand certification organization. Productsand components listed with thisorganization have been tested andcertified to meet performance and publicsafety standards.

Unbalanced Venting – Venting configurationin which the air intake pipe doesn't haveto be the same length as the exhaustpipe, and both terminations may be ondifferent walls.
