Since its founding in 1984, ENERCON provides the production, construction and maintenance of wind turbines. ENERCON Services UK Ltd began in 2005. Today there are over 800 operational ENERCON tur- bines across the United Kingdom. Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Installation for the UK and Northern Europe Climbing wind turbines Carry out inspections and testing’s on electrical components and connections Fault finding on electrical and mechanical components and software Installation of components when required, i.e. ice detectors, blade heating, anemometers Checking of systems and parts for defects and reporting of these Installation of grease and SCADA systems Carry out any grid connection work on any turbine required. This comprises of non-electrical work and may mean a degree of physical exertion is required for cable pulling and grid connection Produce all necessary paper and computerized reports for supervisors and management on a weekly and monthly basis. Ensure completion of all electrical maintenance schedules on time. Carry out risk assessments and method statements when and where necessary Complete accurately and on time, all H&S paperwork as require Ensure that there is good communication between yourself, indoor technicians and the service dispatch coordinator and all issue are reported promptly for rectification When and where necessary, travel to WEC sites throughout the UK, Germany and possibly elsewhere in Europe. Skills Level 3 qualification in Electronics/Electrics Degree in Electronics/Electrical work A (full clean) driving license is essential 3-4 years in an industrial, commercial or heavy industry. Experience in a variety of electrical work and fault finding Excellent health and fitness levels are essential for this role.
