    Job Description

    When it opens, the New Doha International Airport (NDIA) will be one of the most advancedairports in the world. As the home base for one of the worlds leading airlines, NDIA will be one

    of the first Airports to take delivery of the biggest passenger plane ever builtthe Airbus A380.

    Its terminal facilities, operational efficiency and reputation for passenger convenience will rival

    the worlds best airports.

    The total scope for this package includes MEP, LV, Fire Protection, security and specialist

    Airport Systems of the Airport Staff Access Control Facility. A fast track project with anaggressive schedule, this package must be complete to allow the airport training program to

    commence. A high level of stakeholder co-operation and co-ordination is required to deliver theproject on time, with our team working closely with the client, end client and Project

    Management Contractor to ensure successful delivery.

    The position involves;

    Participates in providing a planned, documented, and managed engineering andconstruction approach to the turnover and/or commissioning requirements for pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, operations and testing and final hand-over of

    facilities, systems, and equipment to the client.

    Participate in the development of the Site Quality Manual (SQM) assisting the QualityManager and engineering discipline leads in determining the appropriate requirements for

    the equipment.

    Manages the work to the terms of the contract by eliminating leakage and optimizingreturns.

    Responsible for participation in developing, preparing and managing the approvedTurnover & Commissioning budget, estimates.

    Participates in Subcontracting plans for pre-commissioning, turnover &commissioning, training, testing and start up activities.

    Responsible for developing and maintaining the system integrated turnover &commissioning schedule, controlling all costs associated with commissioning labour andequipment, developing a turnover & commissioning plan, managing commissioningpersonnel.

    Integrating activities with Engineering, Construction Management, and Commissioningactivities and deliverables.

    Manages risk as assigned by the Turnover & Commissioning Management and SeniorProject Site Management.

    Establishes system boundaries, scopes of work, and turnover & commissioning executionplans.

    Communicates turnover & commissioning roles and scope for members of design andconstruction teams; understands the commissioning test plans/protocols, and coordinates

    and/or attends design, construction and operability reviews. Provides periodic reporting for the respective site and the Senior Director of Turnover &

    Commissioning.

    Prepares turnover & commissioning progress reports for management, clients, SeniorDirector of Turnover & Commissioning.

    Aligning and incorporating new team members through coaching or other orientationpractices.

    Understanding the current capabilities of automation tools and ensuring that they arebeing utilized to the full benefit of the department and project.

    Maintains a safe work environment by administering a proactive environmental, healthand safety program oriented towards maintenance activities and zero accidents.

    Participates in the career development of Turnover & Commissioning Personnel assignedto the turnover & commissioning team.

    Continually improves personal technical, commercial, and organizational knowledge andskills.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    Engineering or Technical degree qualification 10 to 15 years Turnover & Commissioning experience and minimum of 5 years

    experience Managing large Turnover & Commissioning projects.

    Experience in Large Scale MEP Projects such as Airports Functional knowledge of all areas of facility pre-commissioning, turnover,

    commissioning, operations and/or maintenance technology.

    Ability to communicate and interact with employees at all working and managementlevels.

    Ability to build effective relationships with Client, Project Management, Engineering,Procurement, Construction, and Vendor personnel.

    Demonstrated leadership skills necessary project results.

    Ability to develop and implement a detailed and integrated Turnover, Commissioning &Startup process and plan.

    Experienced in Turnover, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Training, Proficient in Primavera and MS Project scheduling software. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

    E&I Commissioning Engineer

    Overal l Purpose of Job

    Study complete scope of works Technical Review of Drawings and Specifications. Supervision/Monitoring of Site activities such as erection, installation, testing and

    commissioning in close co-operation with and under the supervision of Discipline

    Section Head and Senior Staff.

    Factory inspection of equipment at manufacturer and factory acceptance tests.

    Commissioning of Variable frequency drive systems and switchboards for naval, marineand oil & gas industries. Products typically include-AC/DC drilling drive systems,

    EHV/MV/LV Switchboards, propulsion/thrusters drives combining specialized

    HV/MV/LV harmonic filters.

    Supervision and Monitoring of defined test procedures start up sequences, reliability testruns and performance tests.

    Monitoring of functional and operational tests of various equipments in order to preparethe equipment to the first start up.

    Monitoring of reliability test runs and performance tests. Verification of the compliance of test results with the design and reliability requirements.

    Preparation of inspection reports, certificates, progress reports and site correspondence Attend and Interact in Commissioning Meeting. Co-ordination with other departments and disciplines.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    Electrical Engineering/ BS Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 15 Yearsexperience.

    15 years experience with 5 years Middle East experience an advantage Proven field experience of both technical and managerial issues Previous experience in Oil & Gas, Heavy Electro Mechanical Contracting Industrial /

    Commercial projects would be an advantage Of utmost importance for all positions besides technical skills are political tact and

    cultural empathy in order to form a beneficial work climate with the client's own staff

    Computer Literate & knowledge of Computer Aided Design Packages would beadvantageous with electrical versions
