The Clarets Suite is an impressive setting for meetings, banquets and private events, situated on the ground floor

Fully air conditioned with free wi-fi and super fast broadband it is ideal for conferences and meetings. It is also perfect for parties where you can benefit from the use of the bar, large screen, dancefloor, presentation equipment, wireless microphones and inbuilt PA system

The Don Walker Suite, The Tony Butcher Lounge and The 1938 Room are all located on the first floor and The Don Walker Suite and The Tony Butcher Lounge can be used separately or as one large room

Networking with a difference, mix business and pleasure at Chelmsford City Football Club

Friends of City is a business networking group but with added advantages for members. The networking meetings are held monthly at the Football Club and alternate between lunch and breakfast. The meetings are very informal and very popular, pulling in between one hundred to two hundred and fifty local businesses. The meetings are free to attend but membership gives you the following:

- Entry into the Friends of City business directory feature in our award-winning Football Club programme, which is printed for every home game

- One half page advertorial (per season) in the programme

- Two matchday VIP tickets per season, which will give you entry to a home league game and admittance to The Don Walker Suite pre, mid and post game (cup games not included)

- Entry into our website Friends of City business directory with a link to your company

- Entitled to attend every monthly business network meeting held at the Football Club and receive the coveted guest list details

- A free stand for members only at our Friends of City business exhibitions held three times a year

The Chelmsford City Football Club Community Programme has been steadily expanding over the last few years since the club moved back to Chelmsford. Community Officer Chris Finch and his community team have a high profile in local schools

In these days of Xbox's, Wii consoles and Satellite TV and on top of that a climate of fear over letting children out of your sight, we provide a safe, fun environment for children to get some exercise and learn new skills

Our aim is to create sporting opportunities and provide education towards a more active and healthier lifestyle for as many people as possible in and around the Chelmsford area

Our coaches and representatives work in schools in and around Chelmsford covering PPA (planning, preparation and assessment) time, teaching the games side of the PE curriculum. We also run after-school clubs in various sports; do lunch clubs and clubs before school

During term time there are also a number of evening sessions catering for children from 4-14 years old

In school breaks we have a holiday course programme that suits children of all abilities

Chelmsford City Football Club is very proud of their disability football programme and has a great deal of experience in this field, including coaching blind and deaf footballers

Sessions are run at a number of local special educational needs schools and colleges and we have an adult disability football session one evening each week. We are currently in the process of setting up a second session and organising a team

Walking football has also taken off extremely well in the area and we are involved in running sessions for people that love football but can no longer play at a fast pace for one reason or another

Train Chelmsford Railway Station is served by the London Liverpool Street to Ipswich main line

Bus The number 54 and 56 buses run a regular service every ten minutes, departing from stand 7 at the Bus Station. Bus 40 also runs every half an hour from stand 6

The number 40 runs from Broomfield Hospital towards Chelmsford City Bus Station every thirty minutes

Taxi Taxis are readily available from both the Railway Station and the Bus Station
