Intersection of 200S/University is confusing forall modes, due to theplacement of thestop signs making it unclearwho is actually going. I'msurprised there haven't beenany serious accidents here
Important mid-blockcrossing, but very wide.Could be improved to helppeople cross. Jade market,greenbike, numerous otherdestinations and peopleliving on both sides soit is used a lot.
Salt Palace hotel iscoming, making this aplace where A LOT of pedestrianswill be moving around duringconventions. Needs astrong, friendly aestheticand iconic view so thatvisitors will enjoy and find allthe great businesses nearby.

Car traffic can't flow on 400due to trax or 300 with thebike lanes. 200 is thelast street that still hasfree flow of cars but stillfeels safe to bike or walkon. It works already. Pleaseleave well enough alone.

Not continuing to 900 West wouldbe a mistake, I believe.How wonderful would it be toone day have a similarcorridor on 900 West,connecting glendale, poplargrove, fairpark, and rosepark tothis project? Biking over thenorth temple bridge is dangerous.

I deliver to local grocerystores with a semi-tractortrailer. 200 S has been oneof the few streets thatI feel comfortable usingwhen I need to travel Eastor West. Other parallelstreets don't feelwide enough, or have toomany obstructions which limitmy ability to see hazards.
Salt Lake has a reputation for being a welcoming place. How 200 South corridor echo that sentiment can provide that reminder.Compared with 400 South, 200 South should be the opposite.Where 400 South is mainly a stopping point, 200 South could provide a welcoming corridor for all users
During theater load in andouts it is required to
have semi trucks, sleeper cabwith 53' trailers. be able to
back into this parking garage.Anything dividing the roadin this area will make that
very difficult. we often haveto block traffic in both
directions already to get thisdone.
Please help preserve thebuildings that give ourcity its culture! In myopinion, the mural andbusiness here are part ofwhat make SLC so charmingand why I moved here.
This intersection is technicallyin a school zone and has a bus
stop but it still very scaryto cross as a pedestrian.
Cars are going too fast andhave little reason to stopfor pedestrian crossings.
I love how the streetshere have medians andplenty of trees. It makeit feel much saferwhile walking as apedestrian and gettingon and off transit.
This corner is deadand has no eyes on the
street. Rehabbing thefire bureau building would
make it less intimidatingto wait for the bus here.
The old FBI buildingis pretty intimidating on theground level and does notprovide any feeling ofsafety while waiting for thebus here. Activating thefirst levels of the buildingthrough creative zoning wouldmake the area feel safer.
I love these mid-blockcrosswalks but wish
that there where trafficislands or medians andmore signals to improve
pedestrian safety.
I would love to see moremid-block pedestriancrossings on theeastern half of 200 S -it really makes walkingmore practical when youcan access yourdestination easier.

Protected bike lanes would beAMAZING on this corridor. Alsofloating bus stops to minimizecyclist/bus interactionswould be a huge improvement.It can be scary to have to ridewith buses weaving inand out of your lane.
I like how this eastbound busstop was moved across theintersection and is now infront of this little church.It provides more shade andthe bus no longer getsstuck at the red lightwhile loading/unloading.

Please allow pedestrian crossingson the unimpacted sides ofthis intersection whilethe train is crossing. It's abit of a pain that everyoneat the intersection justhas to sit and watch the train goby when pedestrians could safelycross while traffic is stopped.
Not all "beg buttons"/crosswalksignals have sounds or hapticfeedback. please improvethe accessibility of theintersections alongthis corridor to match the fewintersections that have verbaland auditory crosswalk signals.
This mid-block crossingis awesome but the curbcuts often become heavilyiced over in winter anddangerous. Its importantto maintain midblockcrossings just likeintersection crossings.
This area is a bus stop desert.There are 3 full blocks
that do not have a singlebustop on the southern
side of the street (eastboundtraffic side). This is bizarreconsidering large events
like the farmers market are heldjust one block away yet visitors have to walk 3+ blocks to catch a bus.
This parking lot currentlyserves as an excellent
shortcut to get to thebus stop from 300 Wwhose sidewalks are
terribly close tosix lanes of traffic.
There is a concretepad here but no bus
stop even thoughit would make agreat location.
For the entire corridor,please provide a wide enough
travel lane (12') for busesif adjacent to an unbufferedbike lane. Buses will tend tocreep right into bike lane toavoid cars in opposite lane.
Avoid increasing curbheight at bus stops. Createsa dangerous step ifbus doesn't get closeenough which happensoften because bus operatorsdon't want to damage bus.
This is the only part of 200South that lacks a sidewalkconnection. This needs to befixed! Walking westboundon the north sideand crossing to the south isdangerous at this spot.
With the schoolhere, this would bea great locationfor a protectedmid-block crosswalk.

The shading from thetrees along this medianare excellent. Thecorridor shouldintegrate more shade treesbetween the U and downtownwhere it makes sense.
The art on and aroundGallenson's is delightful.Not actually a commenton transit, just thatit looks cool. Beer Barhas nice lights too.

As it is currently, this lanearrangement is confusing forbikes and turning traffic.I've seen bikes try to ridein the far right lane(by Gallivan Plaza), thengo straight through theintersection when thereare cars trying to turnright across them.
I've always thought thatthis building would make
for an excellent set ofmurals. There is so
much white space and asother comments havestated, it's a bit of aneyesore for the 2nd
and 2nd area. Would be agreat spot for some art!
This is the site of what oncewas the Regent Street Hotel
proposal. Althoughthe site is small, I think in
conjunction with the proposedKensington tower, this
space could be well utilizedas a small transit hub
due to its central location.
It would be nice to have themedian continue down
the stretch of 200 Sbefore entering downtown.

and connection through Edison toBroadway, great opportunity
to enhance mobility/walkabilityand increase sales tax from
those traveling on foot.
One of the most dangerouscrossings on 200 South:speeding drivers, width of street,difficult to see both sides of thecrossing, out-of-sight Ped-Xsigns. Pinch points, bulb outs,a median design theallows for U-turns,treating each crossing along 200as a true intersection.
Commend and excited forthe 200 South improvements, yetmost successful results demandbetter and integratedland-use policy. City should lookto reduce/consolidate curb cutsalong 200, require parkingentries in block interiors, withcity-led street lanes and sharedstreets to break up our blocks
Honestly one of theworst intersections along 200South. Drivers couldn'tcare less about thecrossings, too wide withasphalt. Have witnessedpedestrians nearly gettinghit. One time an older ladyin 70's struggled to cross,another time a man in a wheelchair. Desperate needof safety improvements.
Curious if a roundabout have shown success in the 9th and 9th area. Feel it would be one feature to help slow the speed, but will it give necessary safety and comfort to pedestrians. I've tried crossing here on foot as a fit 30-something male and still felt at risk from high-speed drivers.
Ideally a transit center on each end of 200 S, one at 400 W, one at 400 E, one central on Main Street. Huge need for protected bicycle storage, a bicycle garage to provide safety and protections from the weather. Something like the new one in The Hague, has a free first 24 hr.
Extension of the landscapemedian to between 700 E
and 900 E would greatlyimprove experience and
safety of pedestrians,cyclists and drivers.
