The Phantom Show, curated by Peter Kingston and Dietmar Lederwasch, celebrates the evolution of this unique heroic character over the past 80 years. More than 30 artists contribute their various interpretations of The Ghost Who Walks through a variety of media and styles. TAKE A SELFIE ON THE PHANTOM’S SKULL THRONE! Level 3, BlueScope Gallery THE HISTORY OF COMICS WITH BILL O’DONOVAN 1 - 1.30pm, Level 3, BlueScope Gallery Artist and comic aficionado Bill O’Donovan and program director John Monteleone discuss comics as a cultural force. MASK WORKSHOP WITH FREYA JOBBINS 10am - 12noon, Education Room. Create an eye or mouth mask to disguise your heroic or villainous super powers. Taking inspiration from Comic heroes to Steampunk characters participants will use recycled objects; from small plastic toys, metal & electronic pieces to create a detailed mask. Ages 12 + Cost $25. Materials supplied.
