• As many of you know I love Anime. I love the allure it brings and the following it carries
• Anime is something wonderful for me and whenever I have the opportunity to attend a special event, I’m there
• At these event people dress up in what is known as “cosplay”, which is basically dressing in a costume of your favorite character on a show or in a comic book, or even dressing as a character you came up with by yourself
• These conventions are spectacular as you get the opportunity to see everyone hard work as they show off impressive costume masterpieces
• Comic-Con is by far the most anticipated event in the anime and comic world, and it happens annually
• I have laid out some of the major information one must know when planning to attend Comic-Con so I hope you enjoy
#1
• Unfortunately, you will not get to see everything you want
• This may happen due to scheduling conflicts, crowds, or even because you fell asleep from all the running around
#2
• Most events and venues are quite far from each other so it is important to have a schedule with times
• Sometimes the walk to and from certain areas can be extremely slow, so make note of times
#3• Before arriving at
Comic-Con, develop a strong strategy and plan for what you want to see and accomplish
• Much like a grocery store, once you are there it is very easy to get lost in all there is to see
#4
• Make note that they don’t clear the rooms between panels
• This means, if you want to get into a different hall and specific room for another event with a large group, plan to be in the room extremely early
#5
• You should mentally and physically prepare yourself for the inevitable waste of time spent sitting and listening to panels you are not and never will be interested in
• Remember to be respectful even if you do not want to be there
#6• Feel free to go to any
panel you want, regardless of who you are with
• If you go alone, more power to you
• Never be shy about the panel you want to go see, because most likely, there will be hundreds of other people there and maybe more that wanted to
• Go get em’!
#7
• Make new friends!
• Everyone is in line for the same thing and they are pretty big fans as well
• Start up a conversation and see where it goes
• You may be pleasantly surprised
#8• Listen to your body
• There will be very little sleep at Comic-Con and not very healthy food
• It is important to eat good food as much as possible and stay hydrated
• It can get quite hot in some rooms and you’ll be happy you prepared rather than forced to leave
• Schedule out your naps and stick to the schedule
