  • My name is Jean-Fidle. I arrived in France at the age of 20, I have come for my studies. I had to leave my family so it was difficult, I didnt return to Gabon for 8 years since I am in France. But I love this country.

  • During my first days in France, I found people cold and less friendly. Under these conditions it was difficult to find friends. However, I began to discover the sympathy of some people, and I realized that reluctance of these persons was due to the fear of others. The first few days were difficult because I missed my family, it was the first time I left.

  • At first I will present my country in a slideshow, and then I'll explain my adaptation in France in a small film.

  • Madagascar, officially the Republic of Madagascar, Madagascar Madagasikara and Repoblikan'i, is a country located in the western part of the Indian Ocean, separated from Africa by the Mozambique Channel 415 km wide. Its capital is Antananarivo. Madagascar is often called the "island continent", the "Red Island" or the "eighth continent". During most of the nineteenth century, the island is administered by the Kingdom of Madagascar, in which the French colonial invasion of 1895 ends. The first government of Madagascar was born October 10, 1958 and 1960, Madagascar regained its independence after a long struggle that began in 1947.

  • It is an equatorial climate. There is a dry season from May to October. And there is also a rainy period from November to April. Tropical climate in the highlands (North). Tropical and wet climate in the East. Dry climate in the South. It is the country which is in the tropics.

  • There are different typical houses, in town there are houses and buildings. And in the countryside there are compartments made with bricks and of red earth and there is no building, there is no electricity and there is either no tap water, it is necessary to go in to have it.

  • The most famous music in Madagascar, is practised with an instrument called Vahlia, it is an object made with bamboo

  • Clothes are typical Malagasy call Boubous, they are long tunics that the woman wears as a dress !
