COMELEC RESOLUTION No. 2015-6 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE RULES OF CONDUCT OF THE ELECTION OF THE PUP COLLEGE OF LAW STUDENT SOCIETY VICE PRESIDENT FOR EXTERNAL AFFAIRS AND FIRST YEAR REPRESENTATIVE Whereas, The PUP College of Law Students Society Commission on Election by the powers vested by the Law Students Society Constitution and By-Laws in Article VII Section 1 and the Omnibus Election Rules of the PUP Law Students Society do hereby promulgate the following rules for the olderly, peaceful and democratic election on July 4, 2015: Sec. 1. Ballots—Two kinds of ballots shall be made available by the Commission for the conduct of the election. Each member of the society shall be given one kind of ballot depending on his/her academic year level, to wit: (a) Each first year student who will cast a vote for the position of First Year Representative shall be given a special ballot containing the names of the candidates for the aforementioned position. (b) Each second, third or fourth year student who will cast a vote for the position of Vice President for External Affairs shall be given a special ballot containing the names of the candidates for the aforementioned position. Sec.2. Campaign—Campaign period shall commence at the time the candidate files his/her certificate of candidacy until 11:59 p.m. of Friday, July 3, 2015. Candidates are reminded to read and comply with all the provisions of Rule 5 of the Omnibus Election Rules regarding the conduct of their campaign. The Commission further reminds the candidates that campaigning in social media is subject to Sec.4 Rule 5 of the Omnibus Election Rules which provides: “Sec.4 Language allowed—Only decent and respectful language is allowed during the campaign.

Voting PeriodPursuant to Sec.3 Rule 6 of the Omnibus Election Rules, members of the Law Students Society may vote as the polling place opens on 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon.Sec. 4 Polling PlaceThe designated polling place is at the PUP College of Law Moot Court located at the Right Wing of the Campus.BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately after its publication.July 2, 2015
