Welcome to Northern Outdoors Adventure Resort – Maine’s pioneer outfitter and only rafting and adventure resort with its own craft brewery, over 150 wooded and riverside acres, and the largest selection of private log cabins and campsites.

Relax by the pool, in the hot tub, play a game of pool inside our timber frame lodge or cornhole on the back patio. If you want to plug in, we have Wi-Fi and big-screen TV’s for the latest sports game.

Our extraordinary wilderness setting is only 2.5 hours from Portland, 4 hours from Boston and 2 hours from Quebec.

The resort is home to the Kennebec River Pub & Brewery where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner, outdoor dining, full bar, and kids menu. (Did we mention we have an arcade too?)

After a day full of Maine adventure, there’s nothing quite as fine as relaxing at our brewpub for a hearty meal and one of our fine handcrafted beers.

Kennebec River Rafting Fantastic whitewater fun and scenery through the Kennebec

River Gorge. Full day trip includes gourmet grilled lunch at

the best beach on the river. Also available: Kennebec High

Water Release Turbine Tests and Lower Kennebec Float

Trips. Ages 8 + up. Turbine Tests ages 14 + up.

Penobscot River Rafting You’ll enjoy pristine wilderness, exceptional whitewater,

and a continuous Class III-V Penobscot River rafting trip,

paused only for a gourmet grilled riverside lunch. Paddle

past iconic Mt. Katahdin, Maine’s highest peak, and see

moose, osprey, eagles, and more. Ages 12 + up.

Dead River Rafting The Dead River has only 8 special releases a season with

more continuous whitewater than any other river in the

Northeast! This dam-controlled river gives you heart-

pounding Class III-V whitewater from below Grand Falls to the

confluence of the Kennebec and Dead Rivers. Ages 14 + up.

Deluxe & Rustic Cabins Cozy cabin in the woods sound good to you? Cabins have from 1 to 4+ bedrooms and accommodate from 2-14 people. Bring a few or a crew!

Lodgominiums & Lodge rooms Condos and lodge rooms are accommodations closest to the Kennebec Pub & Brewery so if you don’t want to miss a second of entertainment, stay here!

Kennebec River Campground Our riverside campground is across the road from the Adventure Resort center. We have cabin tents (canvas covered frames – bring your own sleeping bag), RV hook-ups, and traditional BYO tent camping. River sounds and fire rings provided, you bring the s’mores!

Penobscot River BasecampAbol Bridge Campground Located on the Penobscot River with spectacular views of Mt. Katahdin. This riverside campground has Bunk Houses, RV and tent sites, cabins are located nearby. The on site full-service restaurant serves home cooked food and craft beers.
