Include a current news item exclusive or anecdote or a joke.

The middle:

The body of column should back up opinion with fact.

Include colorful description or factual evidence.

Famous quotation might spark a column idea.

The conclusion: Relate the reader back to the beginning of

column.

Leaves the reader with something to thing about.

Summarize the writer’s main opinion.

Column should be………Based on factual information.

Provide enough information for a reader without drawing them in to too much reading.

Have a unique style do not copy the style of another writer.

Keep good record about the topic
