Kevin James

Born into a home of Christianparents, Kevin was dedicated to themedical missionary work when hewas a month old and accepted JesusChrist when about 12 years old. ButKevin’s spiritual journey took aserious drift away from God due toseveral circumstances (he wasnicknamed “Maniac” in high school),yet God kept in earnest pursuit of him all those years.

Finally, God caught Kevin’s attention and captivated hisheart while serving in the Air Force during the Iranianhostage crises, he read his way into the Church, and at theage of 23 was baptized into Christ Jesus and the Seventh-dayAdventist Church. Since then Kevin has had the privilege ofcompleting a Christian college education, was ordained intothe gospel ministry in May of 1993, and has pastored 12different congregations in 5 districts and 3 states over 20years.

Kevin married Michelle Baum in December of 1988 and theynow have two girls: Brittni and Kandice. Kevin has served asthe director of Legislative Affairs of the Nevada-UtahConference of Seventh-day Adventists, was the SpringvilleCamp Meeting Superintendent for seven years, served onthe NV/UT Conference’s Ordination Committee, and has saton the Pacific Union Executive Committee (4 years) alongwith various subcommittees. He was also a delegate to the2005 General Conference held in St. Louis, MO.
