Previous Research
Many psychologist study the relationships between colors and moods.
Abne Eisenberg- country, culture, upbringing, etc.
Green- Islam, Ireland, England L.B. Wexner-parallel of colors and moods
Results: people chose common moods that were generally associated with that color
![Page 7: COLORS and their MOODS](https://reader034.vdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051316/56814a9f550346895db7afac/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Hypothesis
If someone sees a specific color, then they can automatically connect that color with a specific and predictable mood.
![Page 8: COLORS and their MOODS](https://reader034.vdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051316/56814a9f550346895db7afac/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Process1. Gather group of 30 students, give

2. Have 11 different papers with each paper having one color
![Page 10: COLORS and their MOODS](https://reader034.vdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051316/56814a9f550346895db7afac/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
3. Hold papers up one at a time and have everyone write down the first emotion that came to mind from the pre-selected mood box (how colors/mood pairings were chosen)
4. Once the group has gone through all 11 colors, they then are instructed to go back and write a small explanation as to why they chose that mood for each color.
5. Lastly, I counted up the data and put it into data tables to see if the majority of each color picked was the most general and predictable mood

Analysis of Results
Correct in hypothesis After tallying up results- majority for
each color chose the emotion that was pre-chosen as the most predictable
Explanations from worksheet- showed that people connected the reasons why to things in their culture/society.
![Page 15: COLORS and their MOODS](https://reader034.vdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022051316/56814a9f550346895db7afac/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Sample
Sample- EHS seniors Sample Size- 30 Perfect Size

Changes/Problems
No major problems Next time/ going farther changes- If I
wanted to study this more intensely I would allow the sample to write down their own emotions/moods for each color and not have a pre-selected chart. Then with their explanation I could interpret more closely why specifically THAT person chose that answer.
