Welcome to The Clarion’s EARTH DAY issue!! Celebrate Lake Claire’s earth-friendly habitat and inhabit- ants. This month Lake Claire has much to offer to get us started in our new mission of becoming better stewards of our environment. Consider what would be helpful to you and your household in becoming part of a more ecologically sustainable community. Read our offerings, consider recommending some as well. As we continue this journey we will all meet neighbors who have common dilemmas, surprising solutions, and inspiring stories. We will also explore outside our immediate community for technical advice and in- spiration. What would you like to know more about? Do you have an idea, inquiry, or opinion you would like to share? Join our community effort to become what we know we need to be to ensure a healthy lasting planet. Cheers to us all! B-Earth Day Party at the Land Trust! Come join up at Lake Claire Community Land Trust (located at the end of Arizona Ave.) for a Huge B-Earth Day Party on Sunday, April 27th at 12:30 PM at the gazebo. Anyone among us who had a birthday in the past year is invited to celebrate with us, particularly the little squirts. Come in your birthday finery (clothing), whatever style you prefer and let’s have some fun! We encourage y’all to walk, ride bikes or levitate if possible. To donate cupcakes please contact [email protected], or call 404-377-2288. Leave a message re: how many you will bring and how to contact you in case we need to. This event will be followed by the Land Trust Grateful Dead Tribute at 1:00 PM, a fundraiser. Donations are requested! Earth Day Starts April 22nd and Never, Ever Stops!
