Designed by Shannon Dunbabin Skill level: Intermediate Size: Approx. 8.5” x 26” (un-stretched) Materials: Cascade Yarns® Color Duo 70% Baby Alpaca / 30% Merino Wool 100 g (3.5 oz) / 197 yds (180 m). 1 skein of #203 (Blue & Grey) US 9 Circular Knitting Needles, or size to obtain gauge. Stitch Marker Yarn needle Gauge: 18 sts = 1” in Stochinette Stitch

Abbreviations: BO = Bind Off CO = Cast On PM = Place Marker SM = Slip Marker K = Knit P = Purl SSK = Slip, Slip, Knit St(s) = Stitch(es) YO = Yarn Over K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together Sl2-K1-p2sso = Slip 2 sts, Knit 1 stitch, pass 2 slipped sts over. Cowl Pattern: CO 120 sts. Being careful not to twist your CO sts, join in the rnd. PM. Rows 1-4: *[K1,P1]; repeat from * to the end of the rnd. Lace Columns: Rnd 1: *[SSK, YO, K3, YO, K2tog, P1]; repeat from * to the end of the round. SM Rnd 2: *[K1, P1, K3, P1, K1, P1], repeat from * to the end of the round. SM Rnd 3: *[K2, YO, Sl2-K1-p2sso, YO, K2, P1], repeat from * to the end of the round. SM Rnd 4: *[K2, P1, K1, P1, K2, P1], repeat from * to end of the round. SM Continue in the Lace Columns pattern until desired length. (For a 1 skein project, repeat Lace Columns pattern 11 times). Next 3 rows: *[K1, P1], repeat to the end of the round. SM.
