    INTRODUCTION

    Colonial Monolaurin is a unique, multiunctional compound made rom lauric acid, obtained

    rom sustainable coconut oil and vegetable-derived glycerin. When compared with standard

    monoglycerides, Colonial Monolaurin has multiple positive characteristics not typically ound

    in a single product and ofers elegance and utility to personal care and pharmaceutical products.

    STORAGE / HANDLING

    It is recommended that Colonial Monolaurin be storedin a cool and dry place recommended or preserving

    the product at maximum quality. Store in original con-tainer. Avoid excessive heat and light. The working areashould be kept ree o accumulated dust and ignition.

    Colonial Monolaurin is available in sealed cartons, netweight 25 kilograms.

    SUGGESTED FORMULAS

    Clear Ear Formulation

    Designed as an ear wash or pets, Colonial Monolaurinhelps soothe the ear and provides mildness to the or-

    mulation. The product is a light viscous uid with a veryslight haze. Use as a miticide or animal ears.

    1 Propylene Glycol 60.0

    2 Glycerin 37.5

    3 Colonial Monolaurin .5

    4 Benzyl Alcohol 1.0

    5 Phenoxyethanol 1.0

    Procedure: Combine propylene glycol and glycerin and

    heat to 55-60C. Add Colonial Monolaurin and mix untildissolved. Cool to 40C, add benzyl alcohol and phenoxy-ethanol and mix or 20 minutes or until homogenous.

    1 Lemon oil .25

    2 Vitamin E .20

    Procedure: Blend ingredients in Part A as given withstirring and heat to 60C - 70C. Blend ingredients inPart B with stirring and heat su ciently to melt allwaxes. Add Part B to Part A with su cient agitation tocreate a homogenous blend. Stir-cool to 40C and thenadd Part C ingredients.
