colombia la pradera gesha coffee is a farmer’s canvas at one line coffee, we specialize in sourcing and roasting seasonal, single farm coffees in an ethical and sustainable way. we believe in giving credit to a farmer, and work hard to match their passion when we roast. visit us at onelinecoffee.com la pradera is owned and managed by dionel chilito lopez, a second generation coffee farmer. the farm is located about 30 miles northeast of pitalito in huila. dionel’s land was given to him by his father when dionel was just a teenager. he initially grew mostly caturra, which was typical for the area. however, after receiving positive feed- back about some experimental varieties, he planted enough gesha trees to produce a meaningful crop. we were lucky enough to purchase about 600 pounds of this coffee. processing is pretty typical for colombia, with the exception of multiple washings after fermentation. this leads to an exceptionally clean coffee. this coffee is grown at 1740 meters, and consists solely of the gesha variety. it is fully washed, depulped the day of picking, with 36 hours of dry fermentation. the coffee is washed 2-3 times, then dried under parabolic tents for 16-18 days. orange blossom | jackfruit | honey | vanilla
