ASSEMBLY ANDREMOVAL OF DIN 6499COLLETS (ER TYPE) A. Place collet inside nut and rotate the nut to engage collet groove with the eccentric ring. Push
collet as shown in figure 1 until it clicks in.
B. Remove: Unscrew nut from the toolholder. Apply opposite pressure to collet as shown infigure 2.
C. Never introduce the collet into the holder before collet is already assembled into the nut.
D. Tool shank should cover completely collet inside grinded surface.
