What faculty andstaff are saying…
“This has been a stressful semester but somehow I made it work and so did all of my colleagues. We're always there to support each other.”
“A quick thank you for the support you are putting forth for not only the EMT students, but the other essential infrastructure courses. Thank you for having our back!”

What students are saying…
“I didn't think this class would be possible online, but you made it work. I do think this class would be better in person, since not everyone has a piano to follow along with and can't truly understand how some of these things translate to music.”
“Thank you so very much! It’s an honor to even be considered and to be granted with so many blessings through the many kind people at COC, and I can’t wait to continue my schooling! Although the remote learning is INCREDIBLY difficult, I’m managing. Hopefully this remote learning won’t last long, I miss being in a school environment. But! Enough rambling haha, thank you again for being so kind to congratulate me, and especially for the scholarship. Hope you and your friends/family are doing well!!!”
“Thanks for working hard to keep the class running smoothly. I really appreciate that you made it easier, because a lot of my classes got harder when they moved to online. I think that the format you have is pretty good.”

What students are saying…
“Thank you so much and thank you for staying patient with us during this rough time. I knew some of this stuff already but the rest was new to me. Plus you’re a brilliant teacher who helped me understand everything much better!”
“Thank you so much for managing to teach the class, especially online. I know it was very difficult, especially since some of us didn’t know how to use Zoom, but the way you ran your class online was still very organized. I personally didn’t have a problem with the emails or the worksheets/ videos. They were easy to follow.”
“The email gave me a lot more strength than I thought it would. I am hoping to finish this semester up with a competitive GPA. I will take up your recommendation letter offer and hopefully remember to email you about it during the fall semester when I apply to colleges. I was also wondering if the 2021 winter semester would be face to face or online.”

Hart District Survey Update• College of the Canyons is currently partnering with the William S. Hart Union High School
District to survey graduating high school seniors to determine their plans for the upcoming Fall 2020 semester.
• Recognizing that graduating seniors may defer their acceptances into 4-year colleges and universities in view of the uncertainties associated with COVID-19, we are working to determine their needs.
• The survey asks a series of questions, including how many units they would take this Fall 2020 and subject areas of interest.
• The goal is to determine what additional classes we may need to offer to help these students STAY ON THE PATH while supporting our local community.
