grain. Its naturally high oil

content gives it a formidable

The webbing is made in

24mm anthrocite coloured

polypropylene . The webbing is

extremely durable and weather

resistant.

We use grade 304 stainless

steel tubular sections that

are chemically pickled and

naturally pasivated for weather

protection. The steel contains

chromium to provide a passive

film of chromium oxide that

prevents surface corrosion.

Constructed in Glass Reinforced

Concrete (GRC), these slate

effect tops are used on our Avant

and Avant Classic ranges as an

alternative to our Teak tops.

High Pressure Laminte (HPL)

is produced by combining

thermosetting resin with kraft

paper under high temperatures.

It is an extremely tough and

weather resistant material.

The string is used in the Avant

stacking armchair and has a 5mm

solid HDPE core with a knitted

polypropelene sleeve, the overall

diameter is 6mm.

Rose-Sling is a tough synthetic

fabric made of PVC coated

polyester. It has specifically

formulated yarns that withstand

UV fading, mildew and severe

weather conditions. The Rose-

Slings come in a graphite colour(Tectona grandis)

The Avant Story

Alexander Rose introduced the pioneering Avant Range in 2003; a Danish inspired concept using a

floating design chair seat and table top, constructed in Teak slats on round tubular stainless steel frames.

This twelve piece range immediately launched the company into the European limelight at the high end

of the garden furniture market.

In 2005, black Rose-Sling mesh chairs and black granite table tops were introduced as an alternative to

the Teak slats and “Avant Noir” was born, bringing the collection to twenty pieces.

During the following seven years, more elegant, precision furniture was designed in a variety of

different materials, such as compact laminate, rattan, glass and mosaic marble, increasing the range to a

commanding sixty pieces.

To acknowledge the success of this long established collection, and to mark its tenth year, we re-launched

it as “Avant Classic”, since it has stood the test of time and become a favourite for many of our European

customers.

In contrast to the Avant Classic with round tubular frames, we designed new Avant furniture using

square section tubes with different materials consisting of wide teak slats, graphite string and webbing.

This angular aesthetic suits the latest market trend, and can also be combined with Avant Classic models

if desired.

We are excited about the next ten years for the Avant Classic and Avant collections, as they become the

centrepiece to some of the world’s most beautiful homes.

Alexander Rose aluminum parasols are easily operated with a simple crank

handle. Some parasols have a tilt mechanism, allowing you to angle the

canopy and provide effective shade from the sun.

Alexander Rose stainless steel parasols are operated using a pulley and

locking pin system. Simply pull the rope down to raise your parasol up to

the desired height, place the stainless pin in one of the pole holes to secure.

To lower the parasol remove the locking pin, slowly let the rope pass

through your hands until the canopy is folded and upright. We recommend

that a parasol is not left up in windy conditions, it is essential to use an

Alexander Rose granite base to add stability.

Our elegant cantilever parasols can be positioned to

provide maximum shade. They appear to float above

the furniture and can be manually rotated on its own

axis to follow the sun. It is freestanding allowing you to

position the furniture underneath, rather than around

a central pole as with conventional designs. The crank

mechanism enables effortless use.

The parasols are made using lightweight durable

polyester fabric which is water resistant and easy to

clean. To clean your parasol we advise that the fabric is

kept attached to the frame, use a soft brush or broom

and warm soapy water. For more stubborn stains the

canopy can be removed and washed at 30˚C. Once

washed it is important to put the canopy back on the

frame to dry.UHP

The UHP parasol is easy to operate with the simple handle and lock

mechanism. To rotate the parasol simply unlock the handle and move into

the desired position, and then lock the handle to secure. They can be easily

bolted to an Alexander Rose UHGB40 granite base.

The UHY is a 16 spoke curved 3.0m cantilever parasol. As with the UHP it

is easy to raise and lower the canopy with a crank handle mechanism. The

canopy can be adjusted into 5 positions to give maximum shade from the

sun. The parasol also has a foot operated pedal for 360º rotation. For use

with the UHGB90.

The UH35 parasol has a unique design, tilting to 180º covering the

slightest of angles to protect everyone from the sun. The main feature as

with all cantilever is the ability to spin 360º on its axis. Easy to operate with

the simple crank handle, you will be shaded from the sun in seconds. They

can be easily bolted to an Alexander Rose UHGB90 granite base.

We recommend using either a GB20 (20kg) or GB30 (30kg), however if

you are using parasols inside of a table you can use the GB11 (11kg)

The UHGB40 base is designed to be used with the UHP range of cantilever

parasols.

The UHGB90 base has been designed to be used with the UHY and UH35

cantilever parasol.

Please make sure you have the correct base for your parasol.

UHGB40 has convenient small wheels, allowing the base to be moved

along a flat surface easily.

UHGB90 has locking wheels to secure the parasol and prevent any

movement.

Our cushion bags come in 3 sizes, small medium & large to accommodate

your set of cushions. All of our bags are weather resistant, we recommend

storing the cushions in the bag in a dry place when not required.

The small cushion bag is designed for the recliner seat cushions; it will fit

up to 6 cushions. It will fit the Portofino cushions as well as a number of

scatter cushions.

The medium bag is designed to hold the lovers recliner cushions as well as a

number scatter cushions.

The larger bag is designed to fit a large number of cushions, this includes

cushions in our Lantern as well as our Ocean & San Marino Huts.

The small cushion bag is designed for furniture cushions, it will also hold

several scatter cushions.

The medium cushion bag is designed for sofa sets and lovers recliners, it

will fit up to 6 cushions.

The large cushion bag is designed for our larger models

of furniture, such as the Hyacinth Lantern, Ocean and

San Marino huts.

Alexander Rose Lazy Susans are available in black polished granite or thick

tempered safety glass. Our Lazy Susans have been designed with a 50mm

central hole to enable full use of parasols whilst dining.

Our two Gazebos use 250gsm polyester fabric for the roof and 180gsm

polyester fabric for the curtains, both pieces of fabric are in Ecru. The

frame is constructed in alumium and is powder coated to prevent

corrosion, which makes it perfect for outdoor use.

Alexander Rose manufactures garden furniture which will last for many

years. Over time, as part of the natural weathering process, cracks and

splits will appear in the wood particularly on the end grain and to a lesser

extent on the surface.

The drier the wood, the more cracks will appear due to the evaporation of

natural oils and minerals in the wood from exposure to the elements. As

with most hardwoods, this is a normal characteristic for any timber which

remains outdoors.

Our timber furniture is designed with this in mind and its strength and

durability will remain unaffected.

Wooden furniture can be treated with our specially formulated care

products to give a beautiful rich finish and enhance the look of the wood.

Alternatively it can be left to turn a mellow silver grey, and should be

cleaned occasionally with

soapy water.

Cleans and brightens weathered timbers in one simple step.

Nourishes and gives timber a more uniformed appearance, also slows the

discolouration from sunlight.

Protects the natural look of all hardwood timbers by enhancing its

appearance.

Protects against weathering and reduces moisture absorbtion.
