• HETI supports and promotes coordinated education and training across NSW Health
• Key role in partnering with Local Health Districts/Specialty Networks, Ministry of Health, NSW Health Pillars and public health organisations: – Improve education and training
programs and outcomes

• The District HETI Operational Model provides the means for the rapid development of evidence and policy based education and training resources for staff across NSW Health
• The Model is based on collaboration, integration and the achievement of state-wide standards

• Partnership agreement with the LHD/SN Chief Executives (Commenced October 2012)
• Allocation of staffing or funds in lieu
• 30 District staff working with HETI – remain located within the LHD/SN
• Supported by a District HETI Operations Team and eLearning Instructional Designers

• The work of District HETI is determined by the education and training needs identified within the LHD/SNs
• The model encourages system-wide collaboration and partnership, bringing together stakeholders who have traditionally been involved in developing education and training, namely the LHD/SNs and the Pillars of NSW Health
