Introduction of each team member participating by name not just title. 2. Start with review of patients on the L&D Board
The handoff on each patient should brief, formal, focused and professional consisting of:
Patient room number, name, age, gestational age
Current diagnoses and issues including fetal status assessment
Discussion of labor progress and identification of possible need for cesarean
Obstetric management plan and anesthesia management plan; discussion of nursing

For C-section, resume UFH 12 hours post delivery.
