COLE FAMILY NEWSLETTER September 2013 Minutes 79 th Cole Family Reunion Harley Park, Boonville, Missouri August 11, 2013 A beautiful day was the setting for the 79 th Cole Family Reunion, where a very small group gathered to visit and share a picnic lunch. Vice President, Jason Roe convened the meeting with the introduction of officers. Kim Dickenson read the minutes from 2012. The Treasurer’s Report followed. In summary, the General Fund dropped primarily due to the postage costs for mailing the newsletter. All agreed that they really enjoy the newsletter, and all were encouraged to receive it electronically to reduce costs. The Cemetery Fund remained steady in 2012, which was a drought year, with little mowing needed. The Scholarship Fund is growing, but CD interest rates still are low. Acct Balance/ Year General Cemetery Scholarship 2009 $1,339.00 $3,114.60 $4,691.98 2010 $1,111.62 $2,991.34 $4,730.19 2011 $1,084.90 $2,862.53 $5,527.44 2012 $925.07 $2,786.72 $6,169.42 2013 $887.02 $2,794.57 $6,522.39 There was a discussion about long term CDs versus short term, concluding with the directive of anyone finding a good rate should notify the treasurer, and Kim Dickerson also will investigate options on her own. Jason Roe presented the Cemetery Report, restating a conversation that Jim Painter had had with Travis Overstreet of the Missouri Department of Transportation at the Highway 5 shed. Travis was to pursue mowing the cemetery with his supervisor, since it is owned by the State. Jason intends to keep the ball rolling. Chart of Association Finances 2009-20013
