TRANSCRIPT
I’d like to first start off by thanking everyone for supporting the latest PAC
fundraisers. Parents’ Night Out was a success and it was a pleasure to see so many
people in attendance. The next PAC fundraiser is a used book sale on April 13th & 14th.
Start making room on your bookshelves for some “new” books!
During the week of March 14-18, the school will be involved in hip hop lessons with
Heather Larkam from Urban Dance. The students will be preparing all week for the hip
hop performance on Friday, March 18 at 10:55am. We hope to see you there!
As students become more exposed to the internet, it is important that parents are
aware of internet concerns. On March 7 & 8th, parents are invited to a worthwhile
presentation on digital literacy and internet/social media safety at 7pm at the
Timberline Secondary Theatre.
On behalf of the staff, we would like to thank you for attending the student-led
conferences to allow your child to shine. We appreciate your continued support and
involvement in your child’s learning.
Warm regards,
Nancy Hwang

During the months of February to April, School District #72
is participating in the 2016 Ministry of Education Electronic
Anonymous Satisfaction Survey Project in cooperation with all
other school districts throughout the Province.
The survey is used to gather information from parents,
teachers and students (EDM grade 4 students) on topics
relating to school environment, safety, and achievement. The
survey takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes and provides
information in the planning of individual schools and provides a
district and provincial perspective.
Gr. 4 parents, please take a moment to fill out the survey if you
haven’t already done so. If you have misplaced your pin #,
please see the secretary.

SALMON FRY RELEASE
It is time to say good-bye to the salmon fry that have been in the aquarium since early last November. The
classes brought back the fertilized eggs from the Quinsam hatchery and have been caring for them in the
aquarium at school ever since. On April 7 Mme Vachon’s and Mme LeCheminant’s classes will be releasing the
salmon into Nunn’s Creek. Make sure you have a look at them before they leave. This year was very successful
and we have more salmon fry to release than any other year!
