    ColaLiquid

The ColaLiquid Amides are a group of next generation liquid non-ionic surfactants that are

used to improve foam, viscosity and feel properties of personal care formulations.

    TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

    ColaLiquid products have been tested

according to Method OECD 301D and

    determined to be ultimately biodegradable.

This chart shows that the ColaLiquid Amides promote better retention o oam height versus

cocamide DEA and the competitive product. The decline in initial oam height or the

ColaLiquid Amides is signifcantly less than the other two compounds. All o the ColaLiquid

Amides provide viscosity enhancement and reduction in salt levels used to achieve viscosity.

This chart evaluates the perormance o theColaLiquid

Amides versus cocamide DEA and acompetitive amide in a typical shampoo-type ormulation. Additionally, this chart

demonstrates that the ColaLiquid Amides will increase the overall level o oam versus

cocamide DEA. The recommended use levels or the ColaLiquidAmides are typical o those or

traditional alkanolamides, generally in the range o 2% to 5% in personal care products or 10%

to 20% o the total anioinc content o the ormulation. Long chain length ColaLiquids can be

    used at lower levels.

ColaLiquid was evaluated or eye and skin irritation potential and the product was ound to be very m

versus traditional alkanolamides. Eye irritation was determined by a HET-CAM assay that uses the innmembrane o a hens egg and gauges the injurious changes to this membrane when exposed to the te

substance. ColaLiquid DC was ound to have a score o 2 in this test. By comparison, a typical ba

shampoo has a score o 11. Thereore, ColaLiquid DC is virtually non-irritating on eye exposure.

Skin irritation was perormed on 52 test subjects who wore a patch containing 1% ColaLiquid DC or

hours. Visual observation o the skin ater that time revealed no changes in skin condition indicating t

negative potential or skin irritation by ColaLiquid DC.
