Every block, I was gaining on him just a little bit. After just a few minutes I was only about 100 meters behind him, so I really picked up the pace and pushed myself. You would have thought I was running in the last leg of an Olympic competition. I was determined to catch him. Finally, I did it! I caught and passed him. On the inside, I felt so good. “I beat him.” Of course, he didn’t even know we were racing! After I passed him, I realized I had been so focused on competing against him that I had missed my turn! I had gone nearly six blocks past my turn and I had to turn and go back. Isn’t that what happens in life when we focus on compet- ing with co-workers, neighbors, friends, family, trying to outdo them or trying to prove that we are more successful or more important? And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her.” (Luke 7:11-12, TAB) You will realize that mostly a load is carried either on the shoulder or head. e head is sup- posed to be where the anointing rests upon and then flows to other parts of the body. “For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.” (Psalm 133:2, NLT) Because a load is carried on the head, we can then call a burden that which prevents the entrance or contests with blessing. When a blessing is released from heaven and it is coming to you, if as it is about to enter in, it discovers that a demonic load blocks the entrance, it retreats. Others that are ready for similar blessing may then lay claim to it, depending on their knowledge or preparation. I am positive that today every burden that is a hindrance to your blessing shall be destroyed in Jesus name. 2. at which brings difficulty, affliction or oppression—a taskmaster. “And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors; for I know their sorrows and sufferings and trials.” (Exodus 3:7, TAB) 3. at which takes away inheritance - debt “One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out, “My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the LORD. A man wrote this some years ago...“I was jogging this morning and I noticed a person about 1/2 a kilometer ahead. I could tell he was running a little slower than me and I thought, good, I shall try to catch him. I had about a kilometer before I needed to turn off. So I started running faster and faster.

After I passed him, I realized I had been so focused on competing against him that I had missed my turn! I had gone nearly six blocks past my turn and I had to turn and go back.

Isn’t that what happens in life when we focus on compet-ing with co-workers, neighbors, friends, family, trying to outdo them or trying to prove that we are more successful or more important?

We spend our time and energy running after them

and we miss out on our own paths to our God-given destinies!

The problem with unhealthy competition is that it’s a never ending cycle!

There will always be somebody ahead of you, someone with a better job, nicer car, more money in the bank, more education, a prettier wife, a more handsome husband, better behaved children, etc.

But realize that “You can be the best that you can be, when you are not competing with anyone.”

Some people are insecure because they pay too much attention to what others are, where others are going, wearing and driving....

Take what God has given you: your height, weight and personality.

Dress well and wear it proudly: you’ll be blessed by it!

Stay focused and live a healthy life. There is no competi-tion in Destiny. Run your own race and wish others well.

The Anointing

It shall come to pass means that it has been pre-ordained to happen. (Zechariah 8:12-15)What is a burden?

1. That which brings discomfort - a load. “Now it happened, the day after that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. Last Week @ Covenant Chapel daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eigh-teen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?” (Luke 13:16, TAB)What is Anointing? Anointing is divine electricity.1. That which distinguishes (Divine Distinction): “Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.” (1 Samuel 16:13, TAB)“And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.” (Exodus 29:7, NKJV)

2. That which heals (Divine Healer): “Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.” (James 5:14, TAB)

3. That which allows for proper functioning (Divine Per-former): “And you shall anoint them as you anointed their fa-ther, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anoint-ing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.” (Exodus 40:15, TAB)

4. That which provides (Divine Provider): “This is the anointing portion of Aaron and his sons out of the offerings to the Lord made by fire on the day when they were presented to minister to the Lord in the priest’s office.” (Leviticus 7:35, TAB)

“And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.” (Numbers 18:8, KJV)

“A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth.” (Proverbs 17:, KJV)“A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” (Proverbs 18:16, NKJV)

5. That which sets apart (Divine Sanctifier): “And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.” (Leviticus 8:12, KJV)

6. That which teaches (Divine Teacher): “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.” (1 John 2:27, NKJV)

7. That which seals (Divine Finisher): “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” (2 Timothy 2:19, NKJV)The anointing is set to destroy every obstacle in the path of your glorious destiny in Jesus name, Amen.
