Biography of Pastor James R Adams and the Abounding Life C.O.G.I.C. Mass Choir & Musicians:
Pastor James R. Adams is the Founder and Pastor of the Abounding Life Church Of God In Christ located in Posen, Illinois, a suburb located about 20 miles south of Chicago, Illinois. The church seats over 2100 parishioners.
Pastor Adams has been preaching over 45 years and has been a Pastor for over 30 years. He believes and is always conscious of the fact that God has called him to be a preacher even from birth.He is gifted and anointed of God in the area of music. He has written and/or rearranged over 200 songs to date and excited about his new projects.
When he was eight years old, Pastor Adams sat in the rear of the church during an anointed revival service and noticed a woman playing the piano. He prayed to GOD and Said, “LORD, IF YOU BLESS ME AND TEACH ME TO PLAY THE PIANO, I WILL PLAY FOR YOU FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.” to the amazement of his family and friends, he was playing the piano within two weeks. He later received formal training on several different instruments and has actually played more than ten instruments in his lifetime. Music always has been and always will be his passion.
In addition to his instrumental gifts, he has written and/or arranged more than 100 songs to date.
Pastor Adams and choir have been very active in the “foreign fields” for the last eleven years.
In July of 1999, he traveled to London England with more than 100 choir members, musicians and supporters.

In October of 2000, Pastor Adams, along with approximately 100 choir members, musicians and supporters toured three cities in Japan. Pastor Adams preached three (3) times and four (4) concerts were performed. The Lord saved, healed and blessed many, and the people of these cities are yet expressing the residual effect of this tour.
In June of 2005, the Japanese government and the convention bureau invited Pastor Adams and the Abounding Life C.O.G.I.C. Mass Choir & Musicians, to Hiroshima, Japan to tour and give concerts.
He, along with his choir and musicians, were invited back to Osaka, Japan.Pastor Adams and the Abounding Life Church Of God In Christ were blessed to “break ground” for a 2,800+ seat sanctuary and multi-facility church building in December 2004. Construction began in September of 2005. The edifice was completed and the grand opening took place in November 2007.
The pastor has surrounded himself with amazing musicians and an awesome choir who are proud to present the 2011 CD-Release Entitled:

This anointed music is uplifting and a source of healing and deliverance.
Because of their awesome talent & a very successful single, "Times of Refreshing Radio", they were invited to perform at the national C.O.G.I.C. conference 2010 in St. Louis, MO and are very much looking forward to performing at gospel festivals and like minded churches throughout the

Engineer/Mixer "Commissioner" Gordon Williams has taken many paths during his musical career and has proven successful in every venture. Adding to his extensive resume, the multi Grammy-winner has taken his technical expertise, his love of music and formed Songs of David Productions and his New Jersey-based studio, The Headquarters.
Gordon’s musical roots can be traced back to the Bronx, where as a teenager, he was involved in the advent of hip-hop as a breakthrough musical genre and culture. After graduating, Gordon was signed by an independent record label as a producer. Mr. Gordon worked with such prominent artists as Whitney Houston, Will Smith, Alisha Keys and Santana to name a few.
