Installing the Cobra ODE on your console

Preparation of materials: The main PCB Cobra ODE:
Skip switch circled in red on the PATA mode (switch on the other side of the card is not used in this mode)
From version 4.20 of Cobra ODE switches are gone, the Cobra ODE automatically detects the mode to use
USB PCB Cobra ODE:
The power cable corresponds to that of your console (3.4 or 5 pins)
Choose the same connector as the original model of your console
The fixing clips Type B:
3 will be used only
The double-sided adhesive Cobra ODE:

Your Cobra ODE is a version of 4.20 or greater:

Removing the FAT PS3 Console:
Just follow the images below to show you where are the screws to remove the top shell: Once this is done you have access to the player and to the power of the console. You have to remove the drive (WARNING PATCHES OF THE CLIP):

Remove the console power cable (ATTENTION, the power connectors on motherboards PS3 FAT become very fragile over time, remove it gently with small swings):

Your Cobra ODE is 4.20 or higher Version:Connection between Cobra ODE PATA MB connector and PS3 motherboard: Tablecloth "broad" 60 pine 220mm same side connector connection between the Cobra ODE connector PATA DRV and Blu-Ray:Tablecloth "broad" 60 270mm pine same side connector connection between the Cobra ODE UIF connector and USB PCB Cobra ODE: 24 pine 370mm table along side connector
You can then paste the double-sided sticker Cobra ODE on the player and ask the main PCB top
Connect the new power cable supplied with the Cobra ODE like this: Ask the USB PCB at the rear of the console with the type B clip: You can now organize the sheets neatly in your console so that celle- it does not bother reassembly.
