NRDA Status Update
• April 18, 2012 – Trustees release status update to provide a snapshot of assessment activities.
• Work plans continue to be developed and implemented to assess injuries to natural resources across the Gulf.
• Assessment will continue while Early Restoration planning is under way.

• April 18, 2012 –PSC announced that it has finalized its settlement with BP on non-governmental claims arising from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
• May 2, 2012 - The Court gave Preliminary Approval to the proposed Economic and Property Damages Settlement and the proposed Medical Benefits Settlement.
• November 8, 2012 - The Court will hold a Fairness Hearing to determine whether to grant final approval to these settlements.
• This settlement DOES NOT resolve the environmental claims against BP made by the federal government and five Gulf States under the Oil Pollution Act.
• Liability for Natural Resource Damages and Clean Water Act penalties must still be resolved.
