The Western Australian coast is a dynamic social and natural environment subject to continuous change in response to seasonal climatic conditions. It is a popular place for people to live and recreate and contributes to a sense of place in the Australian culture. Our coast is also an important ecological system and provides valuable habitat for vegetation and fauna. To preserve this coastal environment, we need to sustain a balance between both the social and conservation values.

Our Approach

Ecoscape develops coastal management plans and strategies aimed at protecting and sustaining the important environmental features of each coastal area while also improving its recreational qualities for the public. Our team integrates all aspects of coastal management from the assessment of coastal landforms and vegetation through to designing recreational areas for public use.
