    Emphasis was on developing a core of volunteers to deal with spontaneous volunteers in a supervisory capacity.

    Callaway County COAD History

  • Volunteer recruitment, training, and placement was driven by the American Red Cross and the SERVE Inc. Retired Senior Volunteer agency/programs to support sheltering and mass feeding.

    Callaway County Health Department and the Callaway Emergency Management Agency researched volunteer programs to assist with alternative medical support services and volunteers trained in search and rescue.

  • Callaway Emergency Management Agency CERT Community Emergency Response Team trained and ready to support disaster service providers.

    Callaway County Health Department

    MRC - Medical Reserve Corps to enhance the emergency preparedness and response capabilities by recruiting and training a corps of medical, non-medical, and public health volunteers to assist in response to community needs, public health issues, and disaster preparedness.
