• LISTEN!!!!!• Supply energy• Provide focus• Provide information• Influence, don’t control• Recognize team and individual success• Recognize what’s right versus what’s
wrong• Value differences • Evolve and grow with the team’s life

What Mentors Do
• Advise, support, provide guidance• Help develop an understanding of
“culture” and life in the unit• Instill attitudes and values• Aid in retention in the program • Provide opportunity to help a
person grow through discovery
