We hope that your Spring Break was a rejuvenating time for you and your families!!

Congratulations to the Junior High Senior Basketball Teams REPRESENTED LSL IN THE CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS YEAR !!

Coached by Mrs. Muskego, Mrs. Saban, Mr. Saban (Senior Boys) and Ms. Frost, Ms. Miciak (Senior Girls) both teams improved tremendously over the course of the season finishing in 2nd place in their respective divisions. We look forward to you continuing to play into your high school years.

In addition, our Junior Junior teams were involved this year in league play and 3 tournaments this year. It was nice watching their skills develop a lot over the course of the season. Thanks you to the coaches of all the Junior Junior Teams; Ms. Anstice and Mr. Klopoushak, Mr. Lapierre, and Varsity Team Volunteers.

Junior High Badminton has begun and we are excited to announce that at LSL we is running a Junior High Badminton team. Tryouts are well underway with the season starting on April 3rd. Thank you to Mr. Salik and Mr. Lapierre for coaching this team.

Vasity Badminton Team coached by Mr. Peel, Mr. Faught, Mr. Zeggil, Ms. Toniolo, Ms. Dimatatec and Mr. Dol Dol began in early March and will continue into May. Congratulations to all players for their great effort at the HABIT Harry Ainlay Badminton Invitational Tournament. (See pictures below) We are also in the Concordia Invitational April 7-8th and Romero Invitational April 13-14th after the break. *** ZONE Singles and Doubles will take place on April 19-20th at Saville 9am-5pm. LSL IS CO-HOST with Harry Ainlay MIXED Zone Qualifying April 21th 9am-2pm. Varsity Basketball Congratulations to Ben Rathje and Maria Baclig for being named to the Edmonton Journal Metro All Star for Basketball this year. What an amazing accomplishment!!

Varsity Soccer is here and meetings/tryouts will occur early in April. All teams will begin immediately following Spring Break and practices will be indoors until the fields are dry and ready to go!! Ms. Schiavon will be coaching the Varsity Men and Mr. Vandendooren and Mr. Klopoushak the Varsity Women.

Varsity High School Track and Field is due to start after Spring Break. Registration will begin very soon with meets occurring in May and June. Please see Mr. Lacy to indicate your interest in this sport. Coaches this year will be Mr. Lacy and Mr. Hrynkow!!

Junior High Slow pitch… watch for tryout signs around the school. The Junior High Team will start practicing towards the end of April, weather permitting, in preparation for the season. If you have questions, please see Mr. Vanderhelm.

JUNIOR HIGH Track and Field will be the focus in Junior High Phys. Ed. Classes for the next seven weeks after Spring Break. This will be in preparation for our Junior High School meet, scheduled for May 23rd at Foote Field, as well as the Zone Meet (May 28th) and City Championships (June 6th).

** More information will come home from Phys. Ed teachers as the season progresses.

Indoor Running Games Congratulations to Peter Dokken for finishing in 6th place out of 200 competitiors at the Indoor Games for Junior High Senior 200m event with a time of 25.960. Way to go Peter!!

HIGH SCHOOL SKI TRIP Thank you to all the students and staff volunteers (Mr. Lacy, Mr. Petryk, Mr. Peel and Ms. Anstice) who made the 2018 Panorama High School Ski Trip such a great success.
